Free art gallery which was nice if you are looking for free things to do, but didn't enjoy being followed around the entire time, it made it hard for me to enjoy the experience.

The museum is located in a former Benedictine monastery which makes parts of the building very interesting. The collection of paintings was built up by Guiseppe Stuard, who was able to spend some of the wealth built up by this Parmesan family on his collection. The collection was given to the congregation of Santo Filippo Neri on his death. His collection included Tuscan, Emilian, Bolognese, Venetian and Flemish paintings. It is one of those museums where you can get away from the crowds. Certainly worth visiting, some beautiful paintings.

Many interesting pictures and objects gathered by G. Stuard, a local art collector. With the same (free) ticket you can also experience a virtual documentary about Napoleon's wife Marie Louise, in a building nearby.

Pros. The museum is free, the historic building enticing,
and the personnel kind. Cons. Apart from a few late medieval tables and a couple of baroque paintings, the rest of the collection is second rate at best.

You got to really go through a lot of secondary, if not tertiary, art to get the few worthwhile paintings. The effort is commendable because all works are set very nicely but the question remain if the time spent there is worth after you have been at the National Gallery to the Pilotta.

A lot of religious paintings in an interesting building. We found the going heavy as our Italian is not great and the pictures all started to meld into each other.

This private museum has got a lot to offer. It has a very good collection of paintings, mainly Italian from 14. century.

Very interesting, full of paintings and really beautiful and important things. Recommendation to go there also because it is free so it is accessible to anyone.
