As you face the church of San Giovanni Evangelista the Pharmacy is to your left, along the street a little way. If the door appears to be locked, knock. Opening hours Tuesday to Saturday 8.30 to 13.30
This is a most interesting apothecary dating from the 13C. There are rows and rows of antique ceramic jars painted in blue and huge mortars with wooden lids. There are frescoes and antique furniture/cupboards. Note the symbolic eagle everywhere. Very atmospheric and other worldly. Well worth visiting, all on the ground floor and over 65's get in free!

This olda pharmacy is from the 13. century. You should check the visiting times and when you get in you will be surprised - it is very interesting, four small rooms, but worth to visit.

We discovered this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised. It cost virtually nothing to go in and had three or four really interesting rooms.
