We bought a cumulative ticket visiting the Pilotta which included this small but interesting thematic museum really well restored.
The visitor is guided into a fascinating and curious world by effective information support. A gem that certainly deserves the attention of the tourist.

As you face the church of San Giovanni Evangelista the Pharmacy is to your left, along the street a little way. If the door appears to be locked, knock. Opening hours Tuesday to Saturday 8.30 to 13.30

This is a most interesting apothecary dating from the 13C. There are rows and rows of antique ceramic jars painted in blue and huge mortars with wooden lids. There are frescoes and antique furniture/cupboards. Note the symbolic eagle everywhere. Very atmospheric and other worldly. Well worth visiting, all on the ground floor and over 65's get in free!

This olda pharmacy is from the 13. century. You should check the visiting times and when you get in you will be surprised - it is very interesting, four small rooms, but worth to visit.

We discovered this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised. It cost virtually nothing to go in and had three or four really interesting rooms.

After years of closure for restoration, the ancient monastic pharmacy finally reopened to the public on June 25, 2024. Tickets (5 euros) can be purchased online or at the Pilotta. Interesting the guided tour.

The ancient Benedictine spice shop has finally reopened. The new exhibition path with films and panels is pleasant. You will visit the Hall of the Well, the Hall of Fire, the Hall of the Doctors of Antiquity or Mortars, the Hall of the Doctors of Parmesan or Harpies, the Hall of History, the Hall of the Rule, the Entrance or Hall of the Monk and the Hall of Poisons or the Book. Some rooms are frescoed and preserve the ancient sixteenth and seventeenth century furnishings. Large windows open onto one of the cloisters of the monastery of San Giovanni.
The entrance ticket is made online or at the nearby ticket office in Piotta. Visit time at least 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly.
Nice experience recommended for adults and children
