This fantastic museum is full of wonderful puppets. Beautiful displays. The videos are great too. Sometimes you can forget that they are puppets.
Well worth an hour or so.

To see the development of Theater puppets during the last three centuries is nice for children and for adults. Entrance is free, but you can buy very nice hand-made puppets here.

If you need a break from the churches, the historic sites and the traditional venues, go to this totally charming and delightful museum of hand made puppets, well worn, well loved, every imaginable classic character from Italian folk tales. A true gem.

I thoroughly enjoyed this puppet museum.
The museum houses over 500 pieces including, but not limited to, marionettes, puppets, props, and scripts.
I wish that I was visiting during one of the times that they had a show.

We enjoyed our little side trip to see the puppets. Unfortunately there was not tour in English but some written commentaries.

I like marionettes so I enjoyed the visit. but I can understand my wife being not that enthusiastic walking around this kind of pieces of art.

We loved the displayed puppets. There was a small fee for the audio guide but the first few audio guides did not work. Waiting until they found one that did work was worth the wait. It would have been better if there were more videos of the puppets in action but overall a great experience.

You can Gert in with a free ticket and that is the only way to justify the visit. The puppets are interesting but you would need to see a show to appreciate them better.

I was looking for something a little more unconventional to do after seeing countless art galleries during my month in Italy. This fitted the bill perfectly - it was free admission and very unique. A quirky old style puppet museum which made for some interesting reading and viewing, and some arty photos. Not too difficult to find and definitely worth a visit.

I would like to know how close this attraction is to the Parma train station because we will be coming in on the train. Is it a walkable distance and might someone be able to tell me when the "in house" shows are on Sundays?

How close is this attraction to the Parma train station? Can I walk from the train station to the attraction? Were are the in-house shows posted?
