This was a huge surprise. Tucked away across the bridge over no water...next to a beautiful park...a small birth home. This could be so much more if they allowed them to sell music and make money to expand. You must learn of Benito and Arturo's...More

This is one of the better museums to evoke a musician. In this case it happens to be Arturo Toscanini, considered by many to be the greatest conductor of all time. He knew Verdi and Puccini and all the great composers of his time. He...More

Pleasant place to spend an hour or so. I'm not a music history buff by any means, but after many years of playing in wind ensembles, I can understand the significance of this place! Admission fee is extremely reasonable, and a unique collection of photos,...More

I visited this small museum in a small house by myself. My wife was not interested in seeing this. I was the first person to arrive and enter for 2 euros at 9:30 in the morning. Having the visit to myself while Toscanini conducted music...More

To visit this Great Man's home, see his collection of medals, sheet music, clothing, opera memorabilia was a privilege ... Being able to watch a 30 minute black and white DVD of him conducting the NBC orchestra in New York with many of the greats...More

I was lucky enough to visit this museum on the birthday anniversary (March 25) of the maestro. The gentleman who is in charge of the museum gave the visitors an interesting guided tour in Italian and English. The museum is small, but it's full of...More

This unassuming house, where Toscanini was born (but only spent the first year of his life) is full of wonderful memorabilia (in fact there's so much there's not enough room to display it all). Items on display include his grand writing desk and a piano,...More

This is the home where Toscannini was born. It is beautifully kept, has good displays and friendly, knowledgeable staff. It takes about 45 minutes to go thru.

From the outside, it is not very impressive. Once inside, there is a remarkable collection of artifacts relating to Toscannini's career, his relationship to Wagner and Verdi, and of course his ground-breaking association with NBC. But the best part of it is the guide who...More

This museum, in the birthplace of the famous conductor, nicely documents his life and rise to fame. A guide accompanied me and explained many details. They had a video of Toscanini conducting the NBC orchestra, with the music filling the space to provide a perfect...More
