- ElenaModena, Italy86 contributionsIt is a beautiful museum dedicated to the master Luciano Pavarotti where both the artist and man are relived. There are wonderful memories: his piano, his famous tailcoat, the beautiful stage costumes, the memories of the many Pavarotti and friends; all very beautiful and reported in the frame of his house, his rooms, his kitchen, his life. All surrounded by music and his voice in the background, and videos of both events and private life. An immortal soul that also made us move for the emotion it always arouses. Da visitare!Grazie mille, felici che la visita le abbia trasmesso emozioni da ricordare!Written August 19, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 21, 2024
- Howie833 contributionsI didn't know what to expect .... I saw Pavarotti perform only once at the Met in NYC, but like many at the time, he's the one who opened up the love of opera. You'll need a car to get to the Museo Pavarotti which has some rooms that are kept with his furnishings and others that display his costumes, awards, photos, and other memorabilia. It's a moving experience to see his home and his art works. The cemetery with the his family's plot is close by, and folks at the museum will direct you there.Maestro was always very welcoming with all the people visiting hi, we'd love to preserve the same spirit and atmosphere. - ClaudioLinCalice Ligure, Italy146 contributionsAfter having been to the nearby restaurant (Europa 92) it was compulsory to perform the visit of the house museum of the great tenor. A wonderful villa to visit. Immersed in the Modena countryside, completely renovated by the master and with many furnishings left intact. Full of history, photos, costumes worn by the artist and numerous letters from fans and celebrities from around the world sent to Pavarotti. A very elegant place, but not opulent, where you can understand the nature of the great Master... to seeGrazie mille, avete senza dubbio colto appieno l'essenza di questa visita! We are a couple with an 11 year old daughter. We spent three days in Modena and obviously I included the Luciano Pavarotti House Museum in our visit itinerary. I purchased a Discover Ferrari and Pavarotti Land combined ticket online which, at a slightly discounted price, allows you to see the two Ferrari museums and the Pavarotti museum in 48 hours and offers discounted entrances and discounts in some companies in the area.
It was a wonderful surprise: the museum is intimate and exciting.
It is housed in what was Pavarotti's home in his final years, located in the countryside outside Modena, a few km from Maranello. I can't imagine the difficulty of having to choose between the mass of material they will have had at their disposal, but the final result is a journey between the public and private Pavarotti, which gives ample space to his personality and his character, to better understand the artist. It is spread over three floors plus a basement.
An audio guide is provided at the entrance (included in the price) which accompanies the visitor room after room.

It is a place that will satisfy everyone. Even if you are not particularly interested in Pavarotti, his music is very touching, and even those who are curious about Italian homes will enjoy it. It was a worthwhile viewing, including footage from when he was alive, stage costumes, sheet music, hand-drawn paintings, and even the kitchen.

This relatively modest (considering his fame) house is a touching reminder of a man who brought joy to any. It is surprisingly personal, allowing visitors into his personal rooms and showing personal letters from famous friends. Thank you

While it's a bit of a ways from the town of Modena (recommend taking a taxi), it was well worth the trip. The museum is laid out perfectly, giving both a sense of Pavarotti's life and how he chose to live. Was stunning in its simple elegance, and the number of pictures and videos of him with a seemingly endless array of celebrities and other entertainers was fun to see.

Arrived with no pre-booking and achieved immediate entry (late September). Even if you are not already a committed Pavarotti fan, the Museum does and has everything expected and more - all in good style and very well thought out. The exhibits and settings are brilliant. Who would expect to even see an original letter from Bruce Springsteen or Princess Diana to the Maestro or a picture of him with James Brown! The audio guide is also second to none - do not leave it out. All just superb!

Absolutely stunningly beautiful location, the house was equally as beautiful. So nice to have a glimpse into Pavarotti’s house. Walking around seeing all the pictures, moment and memories was very special. He was a one of a kind, so gifted, such a beautiful person inside and out. His voice will be remembered forever.
So glad we took the trip to have this special day, I would highly recommend visiting this special place

I culdn t immagine that this visit will hit me so hard becouse I m not an opera fan but I know Pavarotti as an opera star. The house is situated in a beautiful very green sorrounding of Modena and after visiting it (aprox 1 hour and half)-three levels, one can realise how big was Pavarotti not only in fisical size but as an opera artist, musician, teacher, and even painter.Pavarotti was not an elitist difficult to aproach, but a very empatetic one affordable for naighbers friends students etc. After visiting the level with Pavarotti and friends one can see how huge personality worldwide was this man. The museum is very well organised it s a real pleasure to visit it and to listen short but significant musical illustrations. After this visit I had a very plesant sensation of calm and relaxation. That s why this is un forgetable.

Dear Gulea,
thank you very much for your nice words.
The kind of experience you described is the reason why we decided to open up the home museum: we wished to give all the visitors the chance to breath this kind of atmosphere, that was the same when Maestro was there, it is very authentic and gives the size of the human being he was.
Thank you for sharing. ❤️

I'm not especially a Pavarotti fan, but this was an absolutely lovely morning. He was quite obviously a marvelous man and full of life and talent. This house has been left like it was when he lived and died there. It isn't ostentatious - just full of memories and memorabilia. It is very touching and poignant and it feels as if he might just walk back in. Take time there to look a the hundreds of photos of who he met and listen to the maestro in this wonderful setting.

If you are visiting Modena,Italia you must go to Casa Museo Luciano Pavarotti. Although it is a little way out of Modena it is well worth the trip. You are free to go anywhere in the Villa. The costumes, photos, letters & other Memorabilia are amazing. The Staff are very welcoming & informative.I was with 8 friends and we all said what a wonderful experience it was to be able to wonder inside & out of the Villa.

Set in the countryside outside of Modena, this lovely farmhouse is a beautiful tribute to a great singer. Left as it was at the time of his death, its a moving experience. And all the while his music plays.
We had a car so was easy to get to and has parking. I thing there is public transport but not sure.

Hi Wendy, we will be going to the Pavoratti Museum in October. can you tell me which train station you went into ( if you took the train) Also, did you go to the Ferrari Museum as well, and how did you get there? thanks ellie

The Pavarotti Museum is easily accessible by car if you’re driving. If not, you’d probably need to take a taxi since it’s in a rural location and probably 15-20 minutes from the centre of town. It’s well worth a visit.

Les photos sont- elles autorisées? Mon père était musicien d'opéra fan absolu de Pavarotti (il a 96 ans) j'aimerais lui rapporter des souvenirs.
