Stopped in for a quick lunch when a nearby restaurant was closed and wound up getting lots of great meal fixings. And lunch. Bright, colorful, busy, central and just wonderful.

The Mercato Albinelli is one of the best markets that I have been to in Italy - for the quality and variety and selection of the products available. I enjoyed strolling through the market and viewing the vegetables, meats, cheeses and breads available for sale. And, if you don’t have access to a kitchen, they also have many prepared foods available for sale and some small restaurants at which you can have a light meal. This is a wonder place to mingle with the locals as they shop and to discover all of the products that the region is known for.…

Thanks a lot for your words. We work to maintain our roots and in the meantime innovate the formula. We want to be more than a food court, we would like to be the heart of town, where citizens and tourists can breathe Modena and its style and way of leaving. Hope to host you here soon!

We were busy for the morning visiting Lamborghini. We made it for the last 10-15mins of the market and it was well worth it. Got some lovely veg, cheese and meat. If you're in the area and self catering its well worth it :)

As soon as you walk in you can smell the fresh fruit and veggies. There are shops with fresh, handmade pastas, cheese, meats, salumi, fish. Everything looked fresh and clean. I wanted to buy a little of everything! Since we were heading home, we had to be satisfied with some parmigiano reggiano. Next time we are in Modena, we will be sure to rent an apartment with a kitchen so we can actually buy, cook, and enjoy food from the market each day.…

This is a nice market filled with local products and friendly vendors. As many others have pointed out, this isn't a larger market but I'd say it's simply perfect for Modena. You can find everything you need there: cheeses, breads, meats, wines and a lot of other local products. Definitely worth spending some time there.…

Thank you so much for your review. The market maintains its original 1931 size because it is a historical landmark and we operate in the respect of the original architectural features. In other words we try to innovate (the small restaurants inside), respecting traditions. Thank you for coming, best regards
