The tour consisted of looking at and hearing about the barrels and how they age the balsamic. Tasting the product was fantastic. I wish I could have purchased some but with only a carry on, not possible.

Now, I know the difference between vinegar from Modena and the real, authentic balsamic vinegar made only with grapes. Fantastic, free tour! Feel free to buy a 12year old authentic balsamic vinegar for 40 euros for 100ml. Davide is the owner and is so knowledgable.

What a wonderful place. Booked last minute.... for a Sunday morning (was very surprised), they got back straight away with confirmation of being able to attend a tour. Great communication. Arrived and buzzed in through some gates and greeted at the property. Lovely place and so informative, got a little taster at the end which was so tasty. No hard... More

We had an interesting and enjoyable afternoon at the Villa San Donnino; learning about the process of making Balsamic Vinegar and tasting the various-aged vinegars. It was fun and educational; the tastings went from new to 25+ year aged vinegar.

This was a fantastic experience and one I thoroughly recommend doing if you're in Modena region. We emailed the evening before and got onto a tour the next day. Finding it was a little challenging, not realising that we were looking for a. private villa rather than a factory! After being buzzed through the electric gates we found ourselves driving... More

It was our first stop in Modena. We stopped at the Trattoria around the corner (with the same name) for lunch as we were not scheduled for our tour until 2:30. They supplied a great, educational and inspiring tour guide. She was full of information and knowledge. Great way to spend and afternoon.
