Fabulous cookery school

We cooked risotto, occo bucco and an Italian cake and it was wonderful. Great tuition, well-equipped kitchen and easy to get to.

We attended Valeria and Barbara's pasta making class the week before Christmas and couldn't be happier with our experience. The communication when booking was easy and the class sizes are small. We learned valuable information about making pasta and cooking traditional sauces (I've been doing it wrong this whole time!). Instruction was straightforward and with a sense of humor. We... More

We had a great time with Valeria learning how to make potato gnocchi with butter and sage sauce, tagliatelle bolognese (authentic style!), and tortelloni with tomato sauce. Valeria is a great teacher and class was a lot of fun. I learned so much and would definitely return for another lesson. Look for the small sign on the left wall at... More

Six friends, some experienced cooks and others neophytes took this half day pasta making class together. It was wonderful. Our charming main teacher, Valerie and Barbara (who had to leave for part of the class, but also equally nice) broke down the process into easily mastered steps, they provided information about Bolognese traditional cooking and demonstrated technique clearly. What we... More

If you want to learn traditional Bologna cooking this is the place to come - an absolutely fantastic experience. Barbara was an amazing host. We made 3 classic pasta dishes: tortelloni, taglietelli and potato gnocchi together with the sauces. The best part was making the pasta from scratch and rolling it out. After making all your dishes, you get to... More

We went to this class during our short stay in bologna as a family (mother, father and 3 daughters – 18, 14 and 4 years old). We received a warm welcome from the wonderful Varelia and Barbara and started cooking right away. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxed. We cooked for about 3 hours Gnocchi, Tortalloni with cheese filling... More

We went for an Italian cuisine cooking, not really knowing what to expect. We arrived at a secluded area in the middle of Bologna and met an amazing woman named Valeri. There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe how amazing and interesting woman Valeri is. Not only that she is a professional chef and teacher ,... More

We had a fantastic afternoon learning to make pasta from scratch. We left feeling like we could actually make fresh pasta at home - without a machine to roll out and cut the dough. They also provided it us recipes so that we can make the wonderful sauces to go along with the fresh pasta. I am now officially spoiled... More

Our group of 8 had a lovely tour of the oldest market area of Bologna followed by a class teaching us to make pasta by hand as well as the accompanying sauces. It was a lovely day and the food was great! I would highly recommend this school.
