The Red Bus tour is brilliant- it takes you around the major points of the city in an hour and in an open top bus - maybe not so good if it rains! It is great to decide what you want to go back and...More

The tour was in English and Italian. The microphones were poor quality so having to listen to the Italian version after each time she gave her speech in English, was annoying and also time wasting. When we asked in the office for the English tour...More

Last October 27 at 16:45 we took a tour to visit Bologna. We were very disappointed with this tour. All in all, we felt that this was one of the worst TOURS that we have taken, in our life.  She showed no enthusiasm while talking about the...More

Informative tour...good way to have a short tour of the city. I wouldn't recommend the combined ticket - the little train to San Luca didn't have audio and is really bumpy and uncomfortable. Rather find your own way there - the view is spectacular! The...More

Poor value. Couldn't hear the commentary because of the loud background music on the tape. The tape was also frequently out of sync with what could be seen.

An half hour train from Bologna took me in this lovely medieval city, where time seems to have stopped. Out of the station a little red bus took me up to the city centre where I managed to move freely without getting lost Everything so...More

We booked the Bologna city tour at the tourist information with no trouble at all. The tour was in both Italian and English, we had headphones and there were about ten people on the tour. Our Italian guide was knowledgeable and amusing and gave a...More

Normally I would run a mile from any open top bus tour but as we had a senior with us we went. From the start my opinion was changed, a gentle 2 or so hour tour of not only central Bologna but the outskirts and...More

Nearly left the city without doing this as we were on out way back to the car but decided we weren't in a rush, very glad we did, Lady on the bus was very helpful and the commentary was very good and we found a...More

No, no free walking tour. But you can take the tour from the tourism office in Plaza Maggiore for 15 euros. I really enjoyed it
