This was a fantastic day with the Alesssandros. From start (6.50 pick up) to end it was a really fun and informative day. You won’t need to eat for another 24 hours so don’t have anything other than a coffee before you get there. The amount of information and education on the food processes is second to none but it is the fun and enthusiastic delivery of Alessandro that makes this a truly memorable day out. It so excellent value and food (& wine) in copious amounts. The lunch at the end was amazing and delicious. A food tour but also a wine tour as from the homemade Lambrusco with breakfast to the sparkly with prosciutto and copious wine with lunch; a gastronomic feast and laughs a plenty. From aged Parmesan, fresh ricotta, honey, salami, homemade pasta, beef, prosciutto (6 ways!) , crescentina, focaccia and dessert we have feasted like kings! Also a bonus to meet two like minded travellers in our group a super fun day out.

What a fab day! Alessandro was a knowledgable host who made the day relaxed, informative and extremely enjoyable. If you are coming to this region you must take this trip and enjoy the wonderful wine, food and hospitality here. My only tip ... come with an empty belly and graze on the food and wine as they are both in plenty supply!!

One of the best tours of our holiday to Italy due to the really interesting production processes, great food and wine and the passion and energy of our guide Alessandro. Very good value for money with an abundance of prosciutto to taste and an excellent home cooked lunch to finish. Also, lots of unique moments unlikely to be matched by any other similar tour.

We had another tour unexpectedly cancel last minute due to lack of numbers and therefore booked this experience which was a great turn of luck. We had a fantastic day out on the Bologna Food Experience visiting family owned food producers across Modena and the team were incredibly generous from start to finish, we tasted so many new Italian dishes and learnt so much about the local cuisines. The lunch was at a spectacular vineyard with brilliant views, home made dishes and beautiful local wines to try. Thank you, we will definitely be joining another experience soon.

I still think about this food tour, years later. I’ve lived in and toured around Italy (as well as many other amazing countries) and think this is absolutely one of the most special tour and food experiences ever. For true foodies and those who love getting a deeper understanding into culture and food culture and even food processes; this was just a phenomenally interesting experience. The 20 course lunch at the end really wraps up an incredible day, make sure to stay hungry!! Highly recommended this tour to any family or couple of any age. What a wonderful learning and food eating experience!
