A very special memory of our two weeks in Italy. Elenora our guide brought everything to life for us from the Parmigana Reggiano to the Prosciutto--she was a true joy. We literally ate all day, but we also developed a deep appreciation for the art and science of the foods of Emilia Romagna. The day ended with an great lunch... More

Fabulous day out. Visit to parmigiana cheese producer, balsamic vinegar maker and proscuttio ham maker. All artisan producers, and very ably and amusingly explained by the guide of the century that is Allessandro. A man passionate about Italy and the food it produces. The highlight has to be the lunch. This is not for the faint hearted, three pasta courses,... More

Seven months has passed and I still remember all the fun and the enjoyable time I had in this tour . Alessandro is certainly the main reason for the number one rating on TripAdvisor. He's almost like a showman . We arrived at the cheese factory in a freezing winter morning and 30 minutes later we were already tasting parmiggiano... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this food extravaganza from the minute we met our guide Alessandro to our last morsel of food. We were picked up promptly at 7 am at our hotel and driven in a beautiful van to Outside Modena where we toured the Parmigiano Reggiano plant which was informative, fascinating and entertaining thanks to our guide. By 9 am we... More

We had a great time on the food tour. It is a wonderful day filled with learning and LOTS of eating (seriously, do not eat breakfast before getting picked up). We liked that there were purchase opportunities at each location, but it was not forced upon you, like some tours. Our guide was Fabio, and he was wonderful - funny,... More

Loved this experience! Alessandro was funny and knowledgeable about the foods we saw being produced and tasted. He loves Italy and its food and traditions. Definitely worth a day if you are anywhere near the area. Don't eat breakfast because you will be tasting and eating all day! Yummy!

This tour was just WOW! We decided to stop in Bologna primarily because we had read such great reviews of this tour and it did not disappoint! The tours, the tastings, the lunch, the people - everything was amazing! Eleanora was our guide and she was the perfect mixture of funny and informative! This was one of the top highlights... More

Hands down the best tour we did in Italy. Our guide, Alessandro, was born to do this. He was so entertaining and engaging. Not once was I bored or ready to go home. The tour was extremely well organized from the hotel pick up to the visits to the lunch. The Reggiano factory was my favorite part. We got to... More

Our guide was Eleonora and she really knew every the most minute details of all the places we visited. We learned in-depth about parmesan, prosciutto and balsamic vinegars and had an opportunity to taste all of them. At the end, we enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at a local winery. We would recommend this tour without hesitation.

The tour to a Parmesan, balsamic vinegar and prosciutto factory followed by lunch at an organic winery was fantastic. Alessandro is a fabulous guide - very knowledgeable with an engaging manner; the drivers were all friendly and excellent. Initially we were a little hesitant to book as it seemed expensive - but it is tremendous value for money. One of... More
