My husband and I have been attending Madrelingua in Bologna for 4 months since we moved here from the UK- we started before lockdown and we are now continuing again after lockdown. Madrelingua is an excellent school with professional and experienced teachers. They have not only taught us to speak Italian from scratch, but they have helped us to settle into a new country and to a new lifestyle and culture. We have made wonderful friends for life and our teachers; Julia, Francesca, Angela, Paula, Stefania and Martha have made us feel as though we are part of a family! Learning Italian at Madrelingua is also fun! The moment you enter the school, you enter a friendly, welcoming and most importantly, a safe environment. Our teachers wear face shields in class and the students wear masks and sit with ample distance apart. Class sizes are small with a max of 4/5 students in a class and there is plenty of fresh air entering the huge open windows. Before entering the school, our temperatures are taken too. We can highly recommend this school to anyone coming to Bologna! Bologna as its a very fascinating and welcoming city with lots to do and see.…

The school is located in downtown Bologna, two blocks away from the main square "Piazza maggiore". It is great place to learn Italian. The teachers are very professional and fun at the same time. Every day after class there are cultural activities and guided visits to different areas of the city, all included in the tuition. I must say is one of the few language schools that is more focus on education than on business so they offer different levels for the students. I am not giving 5 stars because my class had for a week one of the senior teachers that didn't prepared any new activities at all. But after seeing the excellent work of the other teachers, my classmates and I considered this bad luck.…

Thank you for your feedback, it is very useful to know. I only wish we could have known there and then, and so solve the problem within a few days. That way your experience would have been even better!

Can't praise this place highly enough! An incredibly warm, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere, as well as being efficient and well-organised from start to finish. The lessons are fun and thoughtful, with a focus on practical language and conversation. Plus it's bang slap in the middle of town. In short: perfect!…

The first time I went to Madrelingua it was for 14 weeks. When I arrived, i had the lowest Italian level, and when I had finished my course, I was in the class with an Italian level of B2. I chose the school by chance, and after the first week had passed, I realized that I had chosen the best school! Madrelingua has a great atmosphere, all the teachers are excellent professionals with great hearts. If you want to to learn Italian quickly without effort and boredom, this school is for you! Madrelingua is one of my most valuable finds in Italy!…

I came here for the first time and was very impressed how the school helped me in every respect. The school is centrally located and proposed finding a room for me with a family only 10 minutes on foot from the school. I had my own room, use of the bathroom and kitchen. The flat was very clean and cengtrally located. Before attending the school I had to do a placement test and so when I arrived I could start immediately in a course at my level. There are 4 hours of teaching in the morning and if you want an addition al 3 in the afternoon. The 4 were enough for me. During the coffee break the course was accompanied by our teacher to a café and we continued speaking Italian. The teacheers were very good as is the textbook. There are also activities offered in the afternoons and evening which were very good as well. I will certainly sign up for another course when I have time.…
