I spent 7-weeks studying at Academya Lingue, and can only say that the exceptional star-rating rings true. Set in an exquisite building in the heart of Bologna's historic centre, classes are tailored to the learning needs and goals of the students of the day and move at a comfortable pace. The teachers are all highly skilled, personable and patient - making a big effort to keep classes engaging and surprising. The coffee breaks and daily excursions offered after class also make for a really convivial atmosphere, with plenty of opportunity to practice your Italian and meet people from around the world. I really couldn't rate it highly enough, and am hoping to return shortly.

I spent the month of October at Academya Lingue in Bologna this year to study Italian. The location of the school is absolutely fantastic, right in the middle of the historic center, in one of the nicest piazza in town. From day 1, Andrea, the director, welcomes you with warmth, care, and professionalism. He goes above and beyond to insure you are happy, giving you advice and encouraging class changes. I took advantage of this, and this made an important difference for me. His team of teachers is dynamic, knowledgeable, and friendly, which creates a positive and non-threatening learning environment. Social activities are planned in the afternoon which helps you meet other students from different classes. As a result, within two weeks, you are part of the family. I spent an additional month in Italy and attended two more schools: Academya Lingue takes the win.

I spent three weeks at Academya Lingue in November/December and had a fantastic experience. The classes are structured, yet there is plenty of flexibility for the class to focus on areas of particular interest. The instruction is top notch with very engaged and encouraging teachers, and the investment in time and tuition is beyond worth it! The culture at the school is authentically warm, welcoming, and contagious - our class became fast friends and really enjoyed our time together. I would recommend Academya Lingue to anyone who is interested in improving their language and having a great experience in the wonderful city of Bologna! This school is fantastic!! You study 4h in the morning with a break and there is always a social activity in the afternoon which helps you practice listening and speaking the language while learning a little about the Italian culture. The teachers have a very positive attitude, very responsive and knowledgable. I did around 20 private video lessons with one of the teachers then two weeks in Bologna. I am now level B1+, understand very well and can have a good conversation in Italian. Plan to come back in the future with my wife to hone my skills. Lastly, Bologna is fun and affordable and very well located to visit so many great places in Emilia-Romana. If you want to study Italian, there is no better choice.

I studied at Academya Lingua for a week this September and had a wonderful time. The teachers, my classmates, my homestay , the ambience of the school and of course the city all combined for a truly memorable experience. Having chosen Bologna as my preferred area (had never visited before...), I used various review sites to find Academya Lingua and I was not disappointed - its uniformly good reviews were borne out in practice. I have been learning Italian for just six months but found the pace, clarity & helpfulness of Roberto, Donnatella and Vanessa completely on the mark for my skills. My homestay was also exceptional with very kind hosts that easily mixed Italian and English to make the evenings very enjoyable as well. The school is very close to the major sites in Bologna, almost under Torre Asinelli, so the afternoons made for good tourist relaxation & food - the food !!!! Would not hesitate to recommend Academya Lingua if you want an immersive Italian language & cultural experience.
