At Academya Lingue – a language school recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities, Research – students of all ages and geographical origins learn “la bella lingua” in a typically Italian pleasant and relaxing atmosphere through a winning teaching method (where language and culture are closely linked) and engaging weekly extracurricular activities both recreational and cultural. I love Academya Lingue! Andrea's passion for teaching Italian sets the tone for the this incredible school. He has created an atmosphere for learning that is fun, inclusive, stress free and encouraging and the teachers carry out his passion in the classroom. The classes are small and everyone is incredibly friendly. And it's located in my favorite piazza in Bologna, beautiful Piazza Santo Stefano.

I spent five weeks at Academya Lingue in July 2020 and couldn't have had a better time. Andrea is not only a wonderful human being, very welcoming and helpful with everything you need, he is also a competent, passionate and motivated teacher as I am sure every teacher at the school is. I did speak very little Italian before coming to Bologna and have learned so much during five weeks. Andrea and his team put so much value on not only teaching you about the Italian language, but also about the culture and the way of life. It is just in every aspect an enriching experience to go to Academya Lingue! The atmosphere at the school is very familiar, I felt welcomed from the beginning, laughed a lot, looked forward to going there every day and made some great friends. Plus, the school is located in a beautiful palazzo in the center of the city which makes the experience even better.

I knew zero Italian when on the spur-of-the-moment I signed up at Academya Lingue. Andrea is an inspired leader and the experience was terrific. My teacher, Maria Francesca was very talented. The language school is located in a gorgeous historic building in the center of the city. I was so pleased I am hoping to return again for more study during the winter! High value for money invested. Very highly recommended.

Going to Academya Lingue is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It honestly feels like a big family while still managing to be extremely professional. Andrea and all of the wonderful teachers truly take an interest in you and care about your individual experience and learning needs. I really feel like I’ve gained a little family in all of the teachers and other students I’ve had the pleasure of meeting during my 11 weeks here. I can’t praise this school enough. These are not just classes but a truly beautiful experience in Italian culture and language.

I attended only 3 weeks and I can communicate and understand most of Italian language! It's an amazing school.. Not only for learning Italian but also for socialize with people from all over the world. Andrea, the school director, is very helpful and kind to students. The teachers are really nice and patient with students. Thank you Academya Lingue!

I am really happy wtih my 4-week course at Acamica Lingue! The classes are small, so you get a lot of help from the teachers. All the people at Academica Lingue is also very friendly and does not hesitate to help you if you have any problems. I learend a lot more italian in 4 weeks than other friends of mine that have attended other schools.
I can strongly recommend this school if you want to learn italian in a nice and friendly enviroment. This school exceeded all my expectations.

Academya Lingue was recommended by our local Italian Cultural Center. We are beginning Italian students and wanted to take a walking tour that would give us some language practice as well.
We signed up for the three hour "Learn Italian Under the Porticoes". It was a lovely way to see the historic center of Bologna. We had a great time, saw the beautiful city and most importantly practiced our Italian!
We were also invited to the school's evening cultural excursion, a pleasant walking tour of a nearby town. The even excursion featured gorgeous churches and piazzas.
We were are already planing our next trip to Bologna and hope to spend more time at the language school. Many thanks to Andrea and the fantastic Italian language teachers!

I attended 4 months to the school and went from A2 to C1 level. Andrea is more than just the owner of a school, he makes sure everyone is part of a family.. the teachers are amazing.. if you looking for a great experience in Italy that is the place.. I am extremely happy with mine🇮🇹

Here are some pros:
1. Small school and small class groups, not more than 4-6.
2. Kind teachers and staff.
3. Helpful, kind and wonderful school organizer/owner Andrea!!! He will help you with anything and also speaks perfect English. :)
4. School activities are every day and free! (Unless you need to purchase a train ticket for the excursion)
5. Schools trips for the last two weeks included multiple museums and day trips to a Ravenna and Padova. Excellent time had by all!
6. Ages of students range from around 18 to 75 so no one feels uncomfortable or out of place.
7. Best choice to come to this school!
8. There are no cons. :)

Hello, can someone please give me more information about accommodations. Did you stay in an apartment or homestay? How close was it to the school -- walking distance? Also, what was the average age of the students? Thanks!

I stayed in a great Airbnb apartment in the wonderful L'antico Ghetto Ebraico which was only a 6-8 minute walk from school. If you stay anywhere in the city center, you wont be more than 15-20 minutes away on foot. Bologna is a wonderful city, a pleasure to take a walk in. Age really doesn't matter in this school, when I was there there were students in their early twenties and in their sixties as well. If I were you, I wouldn't hesitate. Just go, you won't regret it!
