The Art Cafe, very close to the upper gate into the walled old town of Urbino, is definitely a place I would go back to if I am in Urbino again. On the evening we had dinner there, there happened to be two large parties there. When you are travelling itt is extremely reassuring to find that the locals think well enough of a restaurant to have a party there.
We ordered two large platters of antipasti, of which was just the usual cold cuts. The other contained several combinations wonderfully put together: the carpaccio di manzo with pecorino and porcini was memorable. We skipped the primi and went on to the secondi. The fillet of beef with gorgonzola sauce was superb, as was the veal with porcini. We were too full for much of dessert, but the tarte with fruits of the forest lived up to the rest of the dinner. We had the house wine, which was a rather nice San Giovese.
The cafe has a nice selection of art on the walls, which is probably the reason behind the name. On a less busy evening we might have talked to the owner about the name, but we had to leave that for the future.
As everywhere else in Italy, the restaurant, and its patrons, were extremely infant friendly.

Wide variety of cocktails to choose from, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in a venue with evocative and particular furnishings, and where themed evenings are also organised. I recommend it especially to spend a different evening than usual.

I organized a graduation party for more than 30 people and everything was flawless. Starting from the organization of the party, as well as the beauty of the venue and the atmosphere created. The owners managed to meet all my requests, making me have a perfect evening

I booked well in advance to celebrate a graduation party at this venue, specifying that I would confirm the reservation if I had the chance to stay the whole evening. they called me not even two days before to tell me that they practically had no room left for me and that they would only let me stay for an hour, to add people to another reservation for another graduation party. If a place is serious and confirms reservations, it doesn't cancel the others with such short notice just because places are added at the last minute by another place. But it is clear that by being more they would have created greater profit. Obviously, with two days to go until graduation, I am left without a place to book and celebrate, thus ruining the celebrations. I strongly advise you against booking with them, as they are completely unreliable and have no qualms about canceling your reservations, leaving you empty-handed with very little notice. Stay away, people like that don't deserve anything. Not at all professional and unfair.

Ci dispiace molto per l'accaduto. Nonostante questo i fatti andrebbero raccontati in modo corretto e sopratutto completo perché il tuo commento non rispecchia a pieno la verità .
Avevamo proposto un' alternativa per la tua festa di laurea, che però non è stata evidentemente compresa e accettata.
Abbiamo provato ad accontentare le tue richieste, cercando di venire incontro a te e alle tue esigenze, ci dispiace non esserci riusciti, ma questo non può e non potrà mai ledere la serietà e la professionalità di un locale che da anni lavora con trasparenza e dedizione.
