The Urbino Explorer little train is an ideal way to get round the town and money well spent as the commentary (in various languages through earphones) is clear and interesting. You are also given a leaflet which contains a map of the route and historical notes. It departs from Piazza Rinascimento and takes about thirty minutes for €10 per person. We certainly could not have walked all around the town where the train went as some of the cobbled streets are steep and with the glass roof you can get good views of the buildings. It takes you up cobbled streets and down cobbled alleyways seeing all the interesting squares, churches, houses and beautiful University buildings without too much effort.…

This is fun! The little train manages to get up the steepest inclines and narrow streets. It allows you to rest while enjoying a tour of Urbino and getting an audio tour (in Italian then English) of the main attractions and local history. In theory it's hop on/hop off but not many people do this. It only seats 28. Departs half hourly from the ticket stand in Piazza Rinascimento. But at 7 euros per person it is overpriced for a 30 minute ride. …
