I saw this house in a magazine and since we were in the area, decided to drive by. It is breathtaking and a work of art. I believe it is privately owned so it is not a destination for a tour.

The town house of Rossini, a must for Opera/music lovers. Quite small, only take about 10-20 mins, nice to see a town house from this period, even apart from the greatness of it's owner and right on the main arterial street of the old town - Via Rossini, on you way up to Piazza Popollo.

Unfortunately this can only be viewed from the outside as it is privately owned and, when we visited, it was being renovated. In its heyday it must have been jaw-dropping but it did look in need of some tlc on an admittedly grey day. It was commissioned by Oreste Ruggeri, a rich Italian industrialist, at the beginning of the 20th Century. It is a beautiful example of the style known as Liberty or Art Nouveau particularly the stucco ornamentation and the decorative wrought iron balconies and gates. Our hotel staff told us it is very famous and appears in many books on architecture.

Stunning, historical building. Intricate artwork. It is not open to the public and can only be viewed from outside.

Unfortunately you can not visit the villa, you just can walk around and take photos about this Art Nouveaux gem

This is a stunning piece of historical architecture right on the beach. The workmanship is refined and rich. Worth a stroll to see it and the modern sculpture placed in the open space in front of it.

If you like Art Nouveau than this is a must to go around this building. Unfortnately you can't get in, but from outside, you could have in idea about the inner house. It is very rare that you have liberty (the Italian Art Noveau) in such a splendid form
