This was my husband's first time to Italy and he wanted to experience as much of it as he could. He is an above the knee amputee and we knew that the Vatican would present a challenge for him due to both its size and its daily number of visitors. For these reasons we opted for the private early morning... More

We went on our Colosseum Tour with Julian. We were lucky, as it was early in the morning so there weren't many people there. Julian was very informative, answered all of our questions and even gave us suggestions on other sites to visit. Great Italian coffee was included! Julian showed us the best of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine... More

Everyone in our group of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our What a Life Early Tour of Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. We would highly recommend the early tour- no crowds! Daniella was our guide and she was wonderful. When we arrived in the morning at the WALT office, Joseph greeted us with warm croissants and delicious coffee. We... More

From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. To make it extra special our daughter who was celebrating her birthday, received a gift of a book on the Sistene Chapel - which she loved. This personalisation was greatly appreciated and highlights the hospitality offered by this company. Our guide Marcello was knowledgeable, flexible and... More

We went on a lovely tour of the Vatican, including the museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's. January seemed to be a less touristy time, which was great for us. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour.

I get the impression that there are several great tour companies operating in Rome. I also get the impression that there are also many mediocre Rome tour companies, and a few really bad tour companies operating in the Eternal city. So while my goal was to simply book a ‘skip the line’ tour to ensure I made the most of... More

Completed 3 tours with this group with 3 different tour guides and all were very informational and knew their stuff. The early morning Vatican tour was great. Met at the what a life tour office and had coffee and light breakfast. All the staff were lovely. I lost my ticket to enter and the guy from the office ran over... More

We were a group of about (?) 15 people ... we booked private tours for the Vatican and Colosseum / Forum / Palatino. We were so lucky to have Charlotte / Carlotta as our guide on both days ... ! She educated us, answered our 101 questions, always with lots & lots of humour ! We opted for a private... More

Simply fantastic. Small group of 5. Going early definitely worth it to have the Sistine Chapel without the crowds. Tour guide Antoinette was passionate and taught us about art as well as history. Efficient, polite, well organised. Office staff even brought umbrellas to us when needed. Would highly recommend What A Life Tours.
