We took an early morning tour of the Vatican with Anna and loved it. She was knowledgeable, highly engaging and enthusiastic. We took two tours, one of the Colosseum and the other of the crypts and catacombs of Rome with Marcello, also a terrific guide. Highly highly recommend What a Life Tours. Great staff, great tour.

This tour was great! We got a good trip around Vatican City and the Vatican Museums. After that, we could see the Vatican for as much time as we wanted! The tour guide we got was Grant. He was funny and very informative... seemed like an expert! Luckily we were given earphones to listen to him while we were walking... More

Very good tour. Carlotta, the tour guide was very helpful, informative and caring. She was helpful in time management. She let us choose what to we want to do. She is very informative, breaking the rules like in Sistine chapel which is not allowed to talk but still she's talking a lot of information. She is so caring to the... More

What a Life Tours came highly recommend by one of our friends. It was easy to find( considering it was pouring rain) and we were warmly welcomed when we arrived a bit early for our tour. Meanwhile they gave us the wifi code, offered us coffee and water and even gave us restaurant recommendations for lunch.(Da Romolo was wonderful!! It... More

Thank you for your 5 Star Review! We always love to hear how much you enjoyed your tour. I believe one of those people who greeted you in the morning was me, David. So thank you for your kind words, so nice of you. I think I recall this day, as it was raining so much! And we haven't had... More

We were visiting Rome and hadn't planned to take a guided tour of the Vatican as we thought the prices were very high. On entering St Peter's Square we were approached by a lady called Penny from What a Life Tours. She persuaded us that we could not visit the Vatican without going on a tour. The price we paid... Thank you for sharing your experience and your wonderful 5 Star Review! It's true, visiting the Vatican museums for the first time without a guide would be near on impossible, especially as there are over 1200 rooms inside to explore. How fortunate you were to have Grant as your tour guide. He is certainly affable and also what we like... More

In October of this year we visited Vatican City without pre-booking a tour. We asked an official staff member of the Vatican about the tours and he took us to a guide called Angelo who gave us a short introduction so we could decide if we wanted to take the tour or not before paying for it. We found Angelo... More

at first we wanted to visit the vatican ourselves but fortunately we turned around because of the rows standing in front of the Vatican. We were asked to join the tour and "my god" (how appropriot) we were diverted to a later tour with Grant A well spoken South African with knowledge of art and the vatican. Believe it or... More

We didn't planned to take a guided tour at first but I have to say that it was a great choice. Grant is a really nice guy who knows a lot about art and Roman history. The tour itself took like 2-3hours and it was perfect.. He pointed out all the important stuff joined with interesting story about that. So... More

They are willing to go the distance to make sure all your needs are met. They made sure that I made it through the museum to the Sistine chapel even though it was late in the day.

Well worth paying that little extra for guided tour as no queuing and when finished in Vatican museum, straight into St Peters, again no queuing.
