This is an exceptional complex of classical buildings built in the 2nd century AD by the Roman Emperor Hadrian, which reproduces the best elements of the cultures of Egypt, Greece and Rome in the form of an "ideal city."

Step back in time and enjoy this memorable site. We took a tour and we're happy we did. It incorporated a visit to Tivoli as well and so was a full day out of Rome (we were spending a week there). This is an archeological...More

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the Villa Adriano but it wasn't what we got! The site is much, much bigger than I had expected; we got an audio guide which was definitely worth doing. Some of the ruins are amazingly well preserved...More

We had a trip to Tivoli and visited Villa Adriana & they were doing some filming there with people dressed up in Roman attire . Allow 2-3 hours at least to see everything . The Museum is only open at weekend though & you can't...More

If you're in Tivoli, this is a must see. Allow a couple of hours and don't miss the grotto. Also recommend bringing some water into the site, as there aren't many options once in the site.

Everything about the Villa Adriana was great, well almost, the commute to get there was awful as the busses that go there are limited and if you miss one it would be better to call a taxi. However when you arrive it is a wonderful...More

The Villa Adriana is not user-friendly. Paying the admission fee does not entitle you to a map. For that, you have to go to the bookstore and pay an extra €3.50. The map itself is confusing and unhelpful. We noticed there was a “plastic model”...More

It's a 45 minute walk from Tivoli but you can get the bus to the gates if you wish. We spent about two and a half hours here, we didn't get the audio guide just walked around at our leisure.

This is a must see place when you are in Tivoli and even worth coming from Rome so look around. At this time no need for skip the line tickets, as we and two more couples were the only ones in the whole areal. You...More

It was great walking through such a beautiful piece of Classical Roman culture. To travel in the footsteps of the Emperor is awe inspiring.

My daughter and I had a wonderful day walking around Villa Adriana. I had no idea how large an area this villa was going to cover. The view is breathtaking. No wonder Hadrian built his villa here.

I would always take the train between Rome and Tivoli. Remember to get the BIRG ticket, costs 8 EUR per person only and is valid for the full day - even including Rome metro and bus services. Train runs in regular intervals... More
