Contrary to some of the negative reviews, I just wanted you all to know that we had an excellent experience with Consorzio Airport Shuttle company. Booked through Expedia. We arrived at the place of meeting almost 20 minutes early and our driver (can't remember his name) (?) was waiting for us with a sign with our name on it. He was helpful with the baggage and a very good driver. We went from the airport to Civitavecchia port in less than an hour. Very courteous driver and pleasant trip. The van was clean and comfortable. The price was much lower than most. Approximately $70 usd for the two of us. Thank you so much for your good service!

My most recent encounter with this company was in October 2019. If potential customers are considering hiring this company, you need to be aware of the following: 1. Even though its web site clearly states it accepts credit cards, two of the drivers I had did not carry a Point of Sale (POS) machine, and I had to pay them cash. This is particularly important for American tourists to know, as they are used to paying by credit cards. 2. If you need a ride from Rome to Port Civitavecchia (cruise port of Rome), you must ask whether it has a special permit to enter the port to drop you off right outside of your cruise terminal. In my case, we did not know or ask beforehand, and we were not told it did not have one - otherwise we would have booked a different company. Therefore, you can imagine how shocked we were when the driver just stopped and dropped us and our luggage off by the road, requiring us to walk 50 yards towards a parking lot to catch a port bus to get to our ship.

I wish I’d seen all these reviews before I booked with Expedia. I booked and paid in advance for transfers from Fuimicino airport to our hotel in the historical centre of Rome. My husband is not a comfortable traveller and I wanted to make sure we had a ride meeting us. Well, they never showed and when we called the office, we were told the driver waited for us and left when we didn’t show. However, the other drivers said he only waited about 20min. When I requested a refund from Expedia, they refused, saying they couldn’t refund us without Consorzio’s approval. What angered me was that I paid Expedia and I feel they need to take responsibility. The money is not the issue. They were happy to take my money but washed their hands when the service wasn’t provided. Consorzio lied and said the driver waited an hour for us. Absolutely not true as we were at the designated spot with 20min to spare. They were also almost 2hrs late to pick us up and take us to the port. Apparently a demonstration they “knew” nothing about blocked their shuttle. What angers me more after reading these reviews is that Expedia obviously knows what a crap company Consorzio is but continues to sell them and refuses refunds. In my opinion, that’s fraud.

Our flight arrived at 7AM; so we booked Cosorzio's FCO to Hotel shuttle for 8AM (and listed the flight number, so that they could track our arrival time). After collecting bags, we found their counter at about 7:50, and were told the shuttle would arrive in 15 to 20 minutes (due to traffic). At 8:15 we asked where it was, and how much longer. No helpful answer. At 8:35, the counter person disappeared (panic ensued), but came back at 8:45 to tell us the driver had arrived. The driver was OK, but I wish we had seen other reviews that warned about this service not showing up on time. The waiting place in the Rome Airport has no seating anywhere near the counter, and standing for close to an hour after flying all night is not fun. Recommend you consider other options (e.g., fast train from FCO to main terminal if your hotel is a couple of blocks away, as ours was; or one of the many drivers who stand outside the arrival exits -- but ask for the exact price first). If you book a shuttle (not this one), read lots of recent reviews.
