Went with my family - 5 people, all adults. There was a terrible rain- and thunderstorm just before the tour started, but we went anyway, and I'm glad we did. We were the only people who had booked that evening, so we got a very personal 2-hour tour with a friendly, funny and enthusiastic guide with great english skills. We learned about the history, legends and funny stories of the buildings nearby and about the famous and infamous people who lived and died here, including some of which are (supposedly) still around haunting the place.

Some tips if you want to take the tour:
This is an excellent thing to do as one of the first things when visiting Rome, since you will learn a little bit of everything and get a few tips from the guide including where to go, what to see, how to handle traffic and how to refill your water bottle.
Because it's a night tour, it's great for people from colder climates that haven't adjusted to the day-heat yet.
You might be the only ones who have booked, so be patient and wait for the guide if you arrive at the meeting point and there is no one there yet.
The tour is fast-paced and includes lots of walking, lots of stairs, no bathroom breaks. Be ready.

My wife and I enjoyed this tour. You’re able to see where Caesar was killed, which was pretty cool.
Just don’t think it quite deserves 5 stars, but it was fun, it’s a different kind of experience for sure.

Great experience! Max was a very interesting and passionate guide, he made us relive all those scary stories where they took place. I would love to have him as a guide as well on another visit. Thank you!

This was my sister's and mine first time to Italy and we went on the Ghost Tour our last evening in Italy. Max was very friendly, professional, and an engaging storyteller. We loved getting to see a little more of the city and only wished we hadn't waited to take the tour the last night. It would have been fun to follow up at some of the other sites and restaurants he recommended. I've taken Ghost tours in Dublin, Ireland and Seattle, USA and this was definitely one of my favorites.

Staff are extremely rude, I was accused of taking photos and had someone go through my phone and accuse me of lying and even after I’d proved I hadn’t she continued to lecture me about how disrespectful I was despite the fact I’d not been in the crypt more than two minutes and hadn’t turned on my phone. She called me stupid even after I’d showed her my camera roll and had convinced herself I’d taken a photo on some sort of secret camera. On top of this the dress code is extremely sexist, I respect that it is a holy place and had my shoulders and legs covered but I was told I was dressed too immodestly and made to buy a cover as my skirt finished just below my knee despite the men inside walking around in shorts finishing well above there knees, would have been a much more enjoyable experience but staff need to be less hostile

I am sorry about this unfortunate experience with the staff of the Capuchin Crypts. However, I would like to ask if you were on a guided tour with us (More of Rome), or on your own? Capuchin Crypts have a very strict dress code, and zero tolerance for photos. They have seen all sorts of people trying to take a photo with all sorts of cameras (including hidden ones). Therefore, they don't even allow to take your phone out of your pocket while inside. That being said, I do not believe you were one of our clients, and strongly recommend that you get in touch with the TripAdvisor to have this comment removed or posted in the right place. Thank you.

As others have said, not quite a ghost tour - more of a very enjoyable ramble across some of the key sites, with a great guide (Sarah), who provided great stories about Rome (modern and ancient) that I would not have otherwise known. Very easy to do and I was glad I booked it (even if I was the only one to show up!).

Well organized company and outstanding guide (Sarah). We enjoyed the Christmas lights and insights into the different areas we toured. We had great weather and that was a huge plus. I would recommend this tour if you can walk for 2+ hours (flat services, limited steps but lots of uneven surfaces).

This tour was full of history, fun facts, and ghosts. I highly recommend this tour and I would even take it again because I’m sure there’s still more to see and learn!
