One of three beautiful fountains in Piazza Navona. Beautiful fountains, exciting piazza, great but over priced restaurants and so much going on particularly in the evenings.

The fountain was designed by another but Bernini was tasked with creating the center sculpture. As it turned out the sculpture had an Arabic appearance. Therefore, the fountain was nicknamed “Il Moro”

This fountain is located in the southern end of Piazza Navona. Moro means Moor, however the statue could be African also. He is surrounded by four Tritons, who is messenger of the sea in Greek and a son of Poseidon and Amphitrite.
