This Elephant by Bernini is located at Piazza Della Minerva, not far from the Pantheon and is part of the Minerva obelisk. Worth seeing it.

While this elephant supporting an obelisk may not be the highlight of Rome it is interesting to see how Bernini executed the animal. Take a look, if you are nearby - close to the Pantheon.

This elephant, toppled by an obelisk, is a fine Bernini's marble work. It is just outside the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva church, behind the Pantheon. It was ordered by one of the popes, Alexander VII, who was very fond of Bernini.

After going to the Pantheon we were just walking around the area. We didn't know this Bernini was in this square. A very nice surprise and a beautiful work of art. Only in Italy!

This beautiful masterpiece is in an out of the way street. We were a bit misplaced (lost) and came across it. I could not get my eyes away from the detailed figure of a lovely elephant..

Like others, we kind of found this accidentally. It's a gem of a find, so beautifully done. Worth the hunt.
