We came across this place only 10 minutes from the Colosseum. Bustling street and all but one outside table was taken. The wine/beer was delicious and very reasonably priced. We shared the Caprese salad and a meat/cheese platter - both were amazing and very inexpensive considering location and atmosphere. Will definitely go back!

We arrived here just before 7 and outside seating was already full. Given the coronavirus pandemic Rome is very very quiet so this is really saying something. We decided to sit inside rather than wait but were right next to a huge open window so it worked out well. Service was quick and food was fantastic - we would definitely return

It was our first night in Rome and we wanted to find a place close by our hotel. We were so lucky to visit Ai Tre Scalini. Though there was a queue of 5 tables ahead of us we had been seated in less then 30 minutes. Very friendly and helpful staff who speaks great English. The portions were big and food was delicious and fresh!

My wife and I ate and drank at this bar from Monday 15th July to Thursday 18th July, this being the second time we have been here the first being 2017. We where recommended to visit this place as this is where the local people eat and drink and I must say we where not disappointed. It is like a very popular English bar, very busy lovely atmosphere and full of friendly people.the prices for drink and food where quite reasonable considering you are in the Centre of Rome. All the staff acknowledge you when you leave and they are genuinely pleased to see you on your return. The bar is quite old fashioned decor wise but is brilliant, you can never get a table straight away unless you are early so they write your name down and when one is free come and get you,The food is traditional Italian, although it is microwaved it is lovely. Would definitely return to thus place, the only downside is it is not on main streets and you would need to stay in a certain part of Rome.

During our week stay in Rome, we ate at this restaurant twice, both times the food was lovely. The spicy pork was some of the best pork I’ve tasted, as was the sweet and sour eggplant. On our second visit, there was a small problem with our meal that could easily happen anywhere. The restaurant could not have dealt with the situation better, immediately apologised, reduced the bill and gave us a free drink. Would recommend this restaurant, and the Monti area, to any visitor to Rome.
