Our guide, Simone, entertained us for 6 hours, as he explained the history of the Colosseum, Forum and the surrounding areas of Rome. Not only did he know his history inside and out, Simone was able to convey all that history to our party in such a way that we could easily envision it ourselves as if we had actually... More

We had done Rome tours before. However, Rome Walks took us to a higher level of information and entertainment. We would recommend them highly. Not only did we enjoy the tour guides, but so did our 12 year old son. We also enjoyed how small the tours were. As we went though both the Colosseum Ancient City Tour and Vatican... More

We had a wonderful time on our Rome walk of the Colleseum and Forum. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and took us round at the right pace. The tour was recommended and was great - well worth it

Maria-Theresa was a wonderful guide! We did the skip the line Vatican tour and Sistine Chapel, what an amazing tour! Maria Theresa was very informative and patient. She answered all of our questions and had a very sweet personality! My family and I learned a lot thanks to Maria Theresa. Overall memorable experience, I highly recommend Rome Walks!!!

My wife and I did two guided tours through Rome Walks - the four hour "Skip-the-Line" Vatican and Sistine Chapel as well as the 3 hour Colosseum and ancient city. We chose Rome Walks from our Rick Steves guide, and we were not disappointed! In fact, we were the only people with our guide in spite of the fact that... More

Francesca and Grace were fabulous guides full of knowledge and enthusiasm. The first tour was only 6 of us and the other just the two of us! Thoroughly recommended.

Our guide, Valentina, is working on a PhD in Roman archaeology, and was exceptionally knowledgeable and informative. She graciously answered ALL our questions and we had many. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her. We also got very lucky because the tour company let the tour run with only the two of us. Of course, that made the tour extra... More

Amazing tour of the Vatican museum and Saint Peter's Basilica with Francesca. She was very knowledgeable of everything and really helped to make what we were seeing more meaningful. We only had our family of four and another couple on the tour. It felt intimate despite the crowds. She did an excellent job of navigating and knew where and when... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
