Yes, it was our fault, we were late. But for this company to be rude or have no compassion for for us being late is just bad for customer service. I am sure that we are not the only people that have been late or will be the last. To be in a strange city with thousands of other people... More

We went on several tours with City Wonders during our Honeymoon and had the most unhappy experience with them. We had a Colosseum, Roman Forum tour with them at 10am. We reached the meeting point at 10am but the co-ordinator was gone. We saw the group at the meeting point and they have just started their tour. The tour guide... More

Had a great tour of Pompeii and the museum in Naples with City Wonders. Our tour guide, Claudia, spoke perfect English. Also she was a lot of fun. The tour guide for Pompeii, Enzo, was very passionate about the ruins. Tour included a very nice lunch along the way. The tour from Rome is very long. It was about 13... More

We purchased the package of Colosseum and The Vatican. These were separate tours which we weren't aware of prior to arriving but they were both fantastic. Having Art/History Majors as your tour guides makes a truly amazing experience. Both our guides were brilliant and truly knew their content passionately. Would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Rome for a few... More

There is no better way to see the Colosseum and Vatican than City Wonders (skip-the-line) tours. I took a few tours with them, and the guides are brilliant, friendly and courteous. Don't waste precious time in line. Get the most out of the tour and definitely use this tour guide! And I went in January. Best time of the year... More

If you take a tour of the Vatican. Ask for Lindy with City Wonders Tours. She has a great knowledge of the museums, buildings, and history. While many can read about the many many things to see in the Museums, Lindy focused your attention to those things that are most important and allowed you to enjoy the experience of just... More

I had to write this review now as we have just had it yesterday. (12/01/2017) I am very pleased to say that everything went absolutely perfect since the very beginning of the day at 7:15 in Piazza del Popolo, where, while waiting for the whole group, Roberto started telling us many interesting and amazing facts about the piazza itself and... Tour booked for Papal audience this week. Communication from City Wonders via email was excellent. Directions given to early morning meeting point thorough and appreciated. Met by lovely staff and introduced to guide who promptly moved the group of about 20 through the Vatican security and into the auditorium. We were swiftly taken to a prime seating area three seats... We did two tours with this company. First is the Papal audience and we were so blessed to have my daughter touch the hand of the Pope. We are arms length with him and it was the highlight of our trip to Rome. Next tour was the Vatican and Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's tour. This was our second time... More

To get the most out of this experience, I highly recommend investing in this quality tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. You could tell that she loved her job. Well worth the money.

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
