The Vatican

Very informative, and caring tour guide. Had my shoe in a boot so walking was slower than usual but she kept an eye on me so I didn't get left behind. Very grateful for that.

Valentina was our guide and she was great. This was the first tour my group did and after a week in Rome, we kept talking about this tour. It was very interesting and well run. Highly recommend.

City Wonders organizes tours in small groups or private ones. I have been on several tours with them in Rome and the vicinity and was very satisfied. They were on time, provided really good guides and explained a lot of things with interesting information about history and modern times. Plus they gave some useful advices on food and shopping. The... More

We booked our short tours through Viator and some of our tours were provided locally by the City Wonders. We must say that they have excellent tour guides! Namely our Borghese tour guide, Ricccardo (from the Netherlands). He was the best tour guide we've had amongst all our tours! Very knowledgeable and genuinely nice and patient, he was also funny... Maddalena was very knowledgeable and her tour was informative and she really went the extra mile to explain little known facts about works of art. Additionally, she was a friendly and helpful person.

Our guide, Miss Alba, was so informative and entertaining. She encouraged us to ask questions and made it very easy to step back in time. This tour was brilliant and a lot of it was because of our host.

We booked a tour with Dark Tour Rome for Villa Borghese and it was the best choice. We had very passionate tour guide Ricccardo (originally from Netherlands) who picked up the best parts and most interesting paintings and sculptures. If you really want to see the best of it and with good information, not getting overwhelmed this tour is great.... More

The meeting point was easy to find and the various groups well organised with quick entry to all sites. Our guide (Silvia) was excellent and made the experience special with her in depth knowledge and friendly approach. Silvia was considerate to everyone in the group and made sure we were well looked after. I would recommend this tour and thought... More

We booked this tour as a large tour (up to 25 ) but we're happy to discover that we were only 4. A private tour for the large tour price is wonderful. Anna was so knowledgeable and excellent. This was our 15th tour with this company and as always, this tour did not disappoint in any way. The castle was... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
