Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at

We are arriving in Rome on the 18th June, and a lot of the official tours that are recommended are booked up. Please can anybody recommend any tour groups. So far I have seen availability with Darkrome and Walks of Itaky. Thanks.

Thank you. I had missed the admission tickets for the Vatican. I presume there is no tour with this type of ticket, would you recommend to use this ticket or would it be best to be part of a tour. Thank

Saturday and I want to see as much of Rome as I can on that short period of time and I am kindly asking for Your suggestions, what are the closest attractions to the Termini station, what are worth visiting for short period of time and so on? I checked that the last bus from Termini station to Ciampino airport is at 10.30pm., so I will have around 5 - 6...More

I think if you bought the on-line tickets for the Colosseum/Forum/Palantine Hill that you could have a good half day. Take the Metro and enter at the Palantine entrance - it will have the shortest security line. Explore Palantine Hill and the Forum and then you can see how long the security line is for Colosseum. It will close at 7:15 if going in the summer (double check that time). Lines may get shorter as it gets closer to closing and you don't really need that long to see it. Security...More

Some general questions about Rome (7 Replies)
Hi, Myself and a friend are planning to go to Rome from the 1st to the 5th of September this year and I wanted to ask a few general things -Do you know of any hidden gems, restaurant wise? Anywhere off the beaten track? Not too expensive though, as we're both students. -Are there any smaller sites in Rome that amazed you that aren't necessarily always visited? -This may be a stupid question, but since Vatican City is technically a separate country, do you need to bring documentation...More
