We have toured several times with Francesca, including the Colosseum and Forum, Ostia Antica, and the Vatican at night. She doesn’t just know history; as an archaeologist, she really understands it. And she’s a great teacher, so her clients really learn while having fun. My kids are spoiled enough not to want to come to Rome with spending a day with her. She’s awesome!

We spent at wonderful day with Francesca in May 2016. She is knowledgeable, knows Rome very well, and is also top serviceminded and plesant to be with. We highly recommend this very skilled guide, and will for sure use her services the next time we visit Rome.

Francesca guided 4 tours for our small private group with excellent commentary on each tour. She is very personable and knows Rome. We were treated to many additional sites (off the beaten track) and many local treasures. We booked tours to the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel, Ancient Rome-Colosseum & Palentin Hill, Evening Fountains & Squares and Neighborhood Food Tour. Each and every tour was interesting, informative & fun. You will not be disappointed with any tour you book with Francesca.

Our family of five had a great tour of Rome with Francesca in July 2015. We had seen a few of the traditional sights before our tour so she gave us the Rome 2.0 tour with a visit to some of the less traditional attractions. Her knowledge and experience of Rome and its history, architecture and evolution are superb and our kids (aged 15, 13 and 11) were enthralled in spite of the 95F hot sunny weather. Highly recommended!!!

We were able to see all the sights we wanted to in 2 days with Francesca. She is so informative, knowledgeable and friendly. We went on an evening walking tour including Trevi Fountain and Collesium and day tour to Vatican Museum, Sistene Chapel and St. Peter’s Bassilica. Francesca navigates the hustle and bustle effortlessly. Highly recommend it.

Two years ago I visited Rome with a friend. My friend arranged a tour with Francesca. I was very impressed with her knowledge of Rome, its history and specifics of the sites we visited.
I recently visited Rome with my wife, 2 kids (10,9) and elderly parents. I was so impressed with Francesca two years ago, I contacted Francesca to arrange tours for my family (Coliseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and the Vatican).
My group was much different this time, but she again did a tremendous job. She was able to explain important facts to my kids and my parents.
If you are going to Rome and want a private tour guide, consider reaching out to Francesca!

Francesca was a terrific guide in Rome for our group, sharing her considerable knowledge and insights about the Colosseum, Vatican, museums, and other sites in Rome. She is well-educated, speaks English well, and has a delightful sense of humor. She was generous in both time and spirit, and it made all the difference. She was also our advocate when it was needed. Francesca was an exceptional tour guide! Even our son was intrigued and impressed despite the fact that he had not previously shown much interest in the history of the Roman empire.
Francesca is a well educated archeologist but she is also warm and down to earth, with the ability to make ancient history come alive.

Our private tours of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel with Francesca were the absolute highlights of our trip to Italy! Francesca is a delightful, intelligent and informative guide. We had visited these places twice before but felt as if we were seeing them for the first time with Francesca's guidance. She taught us all so much, in an engaging and entertaining manner.
We highly recommend Francesca and will call her again when we return to this beautiful city.

Hello, I am interesting in possibly booking a tour next year to Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este. I see that the tour includes a stop for lunch; however, I have Celiac's disease. I am entirely gluten free, and also need to be free of gluten cross contamination. What restaurant does the tour go to in Tivoli and are they able to make accommodations for Celiac's disease? Is there an option that excludes lunch (if I prefer to bring my own)?
Also, I see that tour is 7 hours long. What is the approximate cost for 2 people?

My fee is € 70 per hour. Usually each tour lasts approximately 3 hours. Admission tickets and transportation are not included.
