Since May 2020, I have been privileged to join ALL of Through Eternity’s nearly 40 superb and addictive virtual tours. Last week's tour of Puglia was both representative and special. Andrea truly takes the home-bound traveler outside of ourselves and on a well-planned journey through the landscape of Puglia, with a must-see detour to Matera. Andrea was a lively and confident, yet humble, guide on this journey (as on ALL of his other not-to-be-missed tours of southern Italy). Moreover, by the end of the road, he had created a sense of community and shared experience with our Zoom group that can be all-too rare with strangers during an in-person tour group. Andrea gave us space and time to learn with and from each other, as well as from him. Beyond that unexpected sense of shared experience, even camaraderie, I would note four additional distinguishing features of this tour: 1). Excellent visuals, including clear maps to orient us; 2) an absolutely fascinating (and moving) “detour” to Matera; 3) appetizing (usually!) attention to local foods, including olives and grapes--and, ahem, horse; and 4) generous practical advice for planning an ACTUAL trip to Puglia (not just architecture, but also routes and beaches and more). Even if you have been to Puglia (as a few of our group had been), you are likely to welcome this opportunity to travel there again, if only virtually, with Andrea. And if, like me, you know little beyond some photos of charming houses with conical roofs and some cryptic stories about Matera’s radical transformation late in the 20th century, you will be seduced. Oh, and maybe Andrea will even sing a little “Volare ” for you.

I have had the opportunity to participate in many of the virtual tours offered by Through Eternity during the COVID 19 pandemic. Every single tour and guide has been fantastic. The time and dedication each guide puts into their tour is noticeable and appreciated. I have been fortunate to travel to Italy on several occasions and despite having seen many of the sites included in the offerings for virtual tours I have learned something new and exciting with every tour. I also enjoy the unique and somewhat obscure places that the guides visit...it provides an opportunity to see places you may never come across in your travels. The tours have a solid focus on history, culture, and modern day information. For those of us who are unable to travel to Italy due to current world circumstances this is wonderful alternative. I very much look forward to registering for other tours and am excited to see new tours are always being added. Thank you to Andrea, Thomas, Gracelyn, Mario, Caterina, and Frederica for your enthusiasm, dedication, and education throughout every tour I have had the pleasure to join. Tours I have participated include: 1) Sistine Chapel 2) Trevi & The Spanish Steps 3) Borghese Gallery 4) Michelangelo in Chains 5) Caserta Royal Palace 6) Puglia 7) Pompeii 8) Palermo 9) Palatine Hill 10) Rome Catacombs 11) Jewish Ghetto 12) Paestum 13) Naples 14) Caravaggio in Rome 15) Phlegraean Fields ....and I would recommend every single one of them!

I experienced my first 1 1/2 hour virtual tour of Pompeii with Andrea of Through Eternity Tours last week, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is quite apparent that he loves and is so very knowledgeable about this region! I have visited Pompeii several times, but Andrea's presentation brings all the history, facts, and lovely ancient ruins together so one understands better the way of life before 79A.D. and why the devastation came on so rapidly. I highly recommend this virtual way of exploring Italy since we cannot travel there in person, and when you can find an engaging, interesting guide like Andrea to lead you through, it becomes a joy. I now need my next Italy fix!!! I also highly recommend their weekly live "walks" found on their Facebook page that I look forward to each Tuesday and Friday - the next best thing to actually being there!! Thank you all for keeping our travel hopes alive.........

What an outstanding review of your Virtual Pompeii Tour with Andrea, he will be thrilled to see it and we were so glad to be able to bring this site and its history to you during these times while travel is restricted. We are equally having lots of fun on Facebook with our free live Walks by our astonishing guides who are so happy to get out and about during this moment of "hibernation" and visit the sites so they so adore. It's wonderful to see so many people watching each week, we feel quite like family by now so thank you so much for continuing to support our guides and our company! These reviews on TripAdvisor really help us get the word out that we are very much alive and kicking and we working constantly behind the scenes to come up with fun things to do to keep the little grey cells occupied, especially now with winter looming. Andrea is about to release yet a further new Virtual Tour so stay tuned for more adventures and we look forward to seeing you online again very soon! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely note, it has been truly appreciated! Pips

Gracelyn was delighted to read your kind words and she asked me to pass along her sincerest thanks for not only your review but for joining her! She put a lot of time and love into putting together her Palatine Hill Virtual Tour and it's so rewarding to hear how much folks are enjoying them. With the cold and dark winter months ahead, we truly hope that we can continue to offer more adventures to keep all our fans occupied so we hope to have you back with us again very soon, did you try Gracelyn's new Ostia tour? A seriously amazing amble back in time through this often overlooked ancient Roman port - I do hope you join us! Thank you again for taking the time to write, it was a pleasure to have had you with us. Pips

I needed to do something special for my wife for our 35th anniversary, and at this point, it's not possessions but experiences that are the best gifts. With the Corona virus quarantine, our third trip to Italy with a visit to Venice was canceled so I searched through several tour companies before finding Eternity, who was the only one that said they would gladly arrange for a custom private live streaming virtual tour. Pips worked with us and arranged for Giovanna in Venice to walk us through parts of the city seldom seen in prearranged tours. My wife loved the tour and the thought and effort that was put into this unique experience. I highly recommend them to anyone.

It was an absolute pleasure to set this private viewing up for you and your wife on such a momentous occasion so we were honoured and many congratulations to you for reaching such a milestone! So happy your wife loved your stroll around Venice and Giovanna will be so thrilled to read your thoughts. Our hearts break for everyone who cannot travel this year but hope you will be able to schedule a trip over in the very near future, we would love to host you in person!
