Neighborhood: Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.

Cooking with Friends and Family in the authentic Italian Style with Daniela was wonderful!
My two friends, my daughter and myself had an absolutely wonderful time with Daniela learning to make some our favorite Italian dishes in her own home. The personal touches. the laughter, and of course the meal afterwards were truly a wonderful experience. Having Daniela's son, Francesco assisting in the kitchen was a treat we did not expect.

    A Roman Treasure!
If you're looking for a truly Roman cooking experience this is the one! My husband and I were treated like family the moment Daniela opened her front door and invited us into her well-appointed home. After a delicious espresso we jumped right in to learn her techniques and chef secrets to making incredible homemade pasta and three Roman classics: Bolognese sauce, Ciaco e Pepe and ravioli with ricotta and lemon zest. Daniela and her son Francesco were thoughtful and detailed in their instructions and didn't hesitate to answer all of our questions. We cut fresh herbs in the garden, tasted as we went, and swooned over the aromas. What a treat! Daniela even surprised us with a Prosecco toast, flowing wine, and the most delicious charcuterie board with jumbo fava beans fresh off the vine before we were invited to her beautifully set dining room table to enjoy each dish we prepared. We truly didn't want to leave and could've stayed through the night especially after tasting the apple-lemon ice cream with fresh mint! Daniela is a Roman treasure and we're so blessed to have crossed paths. We can't wait to try the recipes at home. Daniela, be sure to call if you make your way to New York!

Personal experience, delicious food, memories for a lifetime
My husband and I had such a wonderful experience with Daniela (and her son Francesco as a bonus!). Not only did we learn so much about Italian cooking, but it was so nice to get to know the two of them and be welcomed into their home. We’re very excited to go home and try the recipes and can’t wait to come back and take another class. I cannot recommend Daniela’s Cooking School enough. Grazie mille!

Fabulous cooking class - always dreamed of cooking in a class in Rome. Just do it 😊
We had a wonderful time cooking with Daniela. She even shared with us a recipe for a dish her grandmother made with peppers, capers and olives. We prepared caccio e pepe, veal saltimbuca, peppers with capers and olives. For dessert we prepared a ricotta and dark chocolate cake. She even surprised us with her homemade chocolate Gelato. One of our favorite meals In Rome. Thank you so much Daniela. 💗

Highlight of our trip to Rome!
It was not my first time and it won't be the last! I had taken her class before with a friend, but this time I booked it with my Mom who is 83 and my two sisters. One famously "did not get the cooking gene" but we all had the best experience. We started at the Testaccio market where we had a coffee, discussed the menu, and did a bit of shopping. Then we went to her lovely home and spent the next few hours prepping, cooking, discussing food and then of course the moment when we get to eat the meal. So satisfying! What a way to experience Rome and the culture. Did I say that I can't wait to go back?!!!

This was an amazing class. I am a chef travelling through Italy, and I have been taking a number of different pasta classes - Daniela's has been my absolute favourite. It felt like a truly authentic Italian experience (versus a tourist trap). Cooking in Daniela's kitchen was clean, fun, efficient, and she answered every single question I had. Also, best Cacio e Pepe I've ever had (and I have eaten SO many since being in Rome). Highly recommend.

My wife and I took Daniela's cooking class our last day in Rome after a month long trip in Italy. It was by far one of the highlights of our entire trip!! The entire experience from start to finish was incredible. She made us feel like family for the few hours we spent with her home. I can safely say that I can now make Cacio e Pepe that can compete with the best back in the US. If you have the opportunity to take the class, it is a must do!!

I'm not trying to brag, but the meal we cooked with Daniela was the best we had in Rome.

I booked the class to bond with my two teenagers and it was great. We made spinach ricotta ravioli, cacio e pepe and bolognese. Homemade pasta and everything. Everything we learned we could totally do at home which made the class even more special.

Aside from the great food, though, was getting to spend time with Daniela and her son. They are so gracious to open their home and share their love of food with us.

Highly highly recommend!!!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Daniela! This cooking class was so personalized and it was so nice to feel like you are at a friend or your mom‘s house just cooking and hanging out. Daniela and her staff were so welcoming and kind. She truly made us feel special and opened up her home and heart that evening to us. We have already recommended our friends and can’t wait for our next visit to Rome! We will definitely be back
