Neighborhood: Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
How to get there
  • Vittorio Emanuele • 5 min walk
  • Manzoni – Museo della Liberazione • 5 min walk

It is a small and welcoming bookshop, opened around the 1940's, located on the beautiful and vibrant Via Merulana, halfway between the Basilica of St. John Lateran and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, few steps from Vittorio Emanuele metro station.
The books are the most varied, from philosophy to history and literature, but specialized in spiritual topics and esoterica, according to the interests, values and shape on which the bookshop was built by its founder.
You can find precious old books and rare, antique, vintage texts that have been out of print for a long time.
Furthermore, like in the past since the days of its founder, conferences and interesting cultural events are organized.
A bookshop for esotericism lovers, where you can breathe an atmosphere of mystery and spirituality.
A must visit.
