Gina was awesome! My son and I signed up for the tour, and had a great time. Gina was so sweet and knowledgeable - and went way above and beyond for us. I had left my phone in an Uber, and she helped us get ahold of the driver, phone him (in Italian) and went via taxi with us to go find it. Furthermore, she was great in her knowledge of the foods, restaurants, and history. I 100% recommend - and would do another tour with her when I go back to Rome!

My husband and I came to visit Rome for five days, and Gina was our first stop. We took the Rome food lover's tour and were able to sample coffee, chocolate, gelato, pizza, wine, and cheese, all while learning about the history and culture of Roman food. It was all amazing, and the chocolate-orange gelato and fresh pizza were so good we went back for more the next day. Gina was so much fun to talk with and was incredibly engaging as we peppered her with questions about everything from roasting coffee, cheese making, and current Roman food trends. She made dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant, which had the best ever spaghetti carbonara, and drew us a map to know where to go exploring the following day for more foodie finds. On the last day of our trip, we were able to meet up with Gina again for the Testaccio Market tour, where she helped us find the best olive oil, balsamic vinegar, coffee, and unique pasta to take home with us. Our trip wouldn't have been complete without her expertise and knowledge!!

We enjoyed an evening of craft beer tasting with Gina from GTFood&Travel We met up at Les Vignerons, a natural wine & beer enoteca in Trastevere where Gina gives us a brief history of microbrewing in Italy before guiding us on which beers to try. We had opted beforehand to sample only Italian craft beers but Gina will tailor make the tour to your tastes. The beers are taken to another enoteca/bistrot where we took up residence at a tree shaded table outside. Platters of meats & cheese struggled to find room amongst all the beers & glasses as we prepared to start tasting. Gina had prepared a booklet for us which gave details of all the beers we were tasting. I have to admit here that I am not a beer drinker but this tasting actually converted me to occasionally swap my wine choice for a beer! It was a delight to spend time with Gina who is knowledgable, professional but most importantly friendly & fun. We enjoyed our evening very much & would recommend a tasting with Gina as an alternate to sightseeing in Rome

I recently visited Rome and had the pleasure of another outstanding culinary tour with Gina Tringali. We visited the Testaccio Food Market and Volpetti to stock up on olive oil. But on this trip the real mind opener was the excellent wine tasting at LITRO. Gina is an excellent sommelier with a keen interest and knowledge of Italy's many wine regions. I was travelling with my brother, who is vegan as am I most of the time, and Gina tuned us into unfiltered wines, which do not use animal products for filtering out sediments. We tried wines of four different types from four different areas of Italy. Each was highly distinct and delicious. When you are with Gina, it's not just about the great flavors you are experiencing, it's about all the background information: the when, the who, the where and how the food or drink was produced. She has, in many cases, visited the cheese makers, farms and vineyards all over Italy where the delights you are eating at your table were made. Her dedication to her subject and depth of knowledge is impressive, and she will tell you as much as you want to know. Next time you are in Italy, if you want a genuine culinary experience and great conversation, contact Gina.

Gina took my husband and I on an incredible tour of the Trastevere area of Rome. She showed us the local market where we she explained in detail the history of Roman foods and the area. We had so many delicious tastes of meats, pizza, gelato, vegetables, pastries, cheeses and coffee. She really customized the tour to our interests and made the time together so much fun! We are still talking about the best pizza we ever tasted. She also gave us some wonderful recommendations for restaurants in Rome and other cities that we headed to after Rome. This tour is a must for food and wine lovers. You will not be disappointed.
