We booked this walking tour today, as it was a horrible rainy day in Rome and we figured as this was mostly inside it would be a good idea. Everything was easy from buying the tickets on getyourguide to checkin at the office and meeting our tour guide Deborah. I'm so glad we booked this tour. Deborah guided us through all the museums and the Sistine chapel with ease. Without her I'm sure myself and my husband would still be wandering around in there! The place is huge and so spectacular it is very hard to put into words. I'm sure I'm my lifetime I will never see the likes of it again. Deborah was a wealth of knowledge and information. Her passion for her job was truly evident and we learnedd so much from her. It was never boring. She allowed plenty of time to take photos and it was not rushed. Her no nonsense attitude together with her dry humour was a pleasure to be around. We had a lovely time and we chose to use the skip the line option to access St Peter's Basilica with Deborah and I'm so glad we did because there was a very long queue for a Tuesday in November in the rain! The 50€ we paid each was so worth it and we can highly recommend this company and our tour guide Deborah.

We were with an Italian boy called Marco who speaks really well Spanish, he seems to be a native Spanish speaker! We booked the one that includes the guide visit of Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel and going inside San Peter’s basilica without waiting the queue.
In every moment, Marco was super kind and generous telling us all the story behind the Vatican museums and its sculptures, pictures, etc. A lot of really interesting things 😊 and giving us all the time we wanted to take pictures. Then, when we finished with the guide visit of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel he came along with us to the San Peter’s basilica in order to enter inside😊
I came with my boyfriend and we both are super super happy with the experience and with Marco. If you are reading this Marco, thank you one more time!!! 😊

Our guide Marco Tritto made this experience for us. Honestly between the size of the crowds and, in many cases, their lack of manners, if it weren’t for our guide we would’ve turned around and walked out. Marco possessed the history, knowledge, and sense of humor that created a very rich and intellectual learning experience.

We saw about 75% of the Vatican Museum including the Sistine Chapel. He spent a good amount of time beforehand explaining what we would be seeing and what to look for along with the underlying history of the Vatican and it’s collections. Considering that you’re forced to shuffle through like cattle in a chute, it was helpful to be prepared for where you wanted to focus to your attention.

Very glad we stayed. If you’re someone who has a hard time with crowds, get yourself a “skip the line” tour and most importantly a private guide like Marco so won’t miss some of the most beautiful and important art in the world. When I return to Rome I will request him personally!

The guide was very rude, he was terribly and didn’t want to give us all the tickets which we have paid in advance. He starting shouting in front of us and he charged us £20 more at the till for no reason at all, I recommend to buy the tickets straight from the Vatican reception rather than with this company.

They charge you twice for everything!!!!

Excellent skip the line tour of the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel and access to the Basilica.
High energy and knowledgeable tour guide, who is very experienced and passionate about guiding visitors to a greater understanding of Vatican art and sculpture and Roma generally.
Christine, our guide for the morning, has 20 years experience in her roll.
The provided ear piece makes the commentary easy to hear and follow, and there are so many rules on each section of the tour, that the guide ensures that you know about. We did not do the lower Egyptian level of the museum, but we could elect to cover this after the tour, self-guided. The only complaint I had was not related to Maya, but the Vatican management, was that the marble floors were very slippery as there had been morning showers, and there was no mats or runners or drying/mopping, and I observed a few falls.
Well worth the investment and saved a lot of time in queues and walking.

Highly recommend this tour company for your visit. Christina was extremely knowledgeable on everything like you would expect but has a wonderful way of conducting a tour! She took us away at the start to a quieter area to explain the wonders of the Sistine Chapel so when inside in silence we could really look and appreciate the art and its significance. She was fantastic at making sure we were out in front and got to actually see everything she spoke about which was much appreciated. Really lovely lady and she even inspired me to read Dante from her tour! Could not recommend more! Amazing tour.....Great experience......really insightful and really accomodating for those in the group not as fast moving as the rest of us which I thought was very considerate.

This was a wonderful experience. A visit to the Vatican has been on our bucket list for a long time and it was even more spectacular than we imagined. We took a private tour of the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. Our guide Alessandra was fantastic. She was very familiar with the Museum and highlighted some of the amazing art and sculpture. She was very knowledgeable and fun to spend time with. Don’t let the Maya Tours office scare you. The office looks pretty shabby but the tour and Alessandra were great! Would absolutely use Maya again and would request Alessandra if she is available.

We had the most amazing tour guide, Deborah! She gave fabulous detail that we wouldn’t have otherwise learnt. She ensured our “front row” view of all the important sites but also brought splendor to the small gifts that were part of visiting the Vatican. Wish we could take her with us all over the city! Bravo, Deborah, bravo!

Our guide Marco Tritto was welcoming, calm and qualified. He knew how to transmit history with passion and interest. His sayings were clear and well spoken. Marco also took time to captivate the attention of our 13 year old girl. We really enjoyed this private tour, we learned new things and now want to learn even more. Our visit was said to us in French. We really appreciated it because it’s our language, but know that he speaks 7 languages. We do sincerely recommend Marco Tritto.
