This is the second time we used Marta and she was terrific once again. We came to Rome 5 years ago and she gave us a fantastic tour so we hired her again on our most recent trip. She is incredibly knowledgeable and keeps things very interesting and fresh. She was an expert at navigating the big crowds that day. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a more personalized experience.

It’s one thing to know the material, it’s a whole other skill to bring it to life. Marta was one of the best tour guides or, rather, teachers, I've ever had.
As an art enthusiast, history buff, and overall source of knowledge, she is top notch. Marta, thank you for giving our 7 yr-old a taste of the good things to come. Our tour of the Borghese Gallery was one of the highlights of our trip. We wish we could have taken you everywhere with us!

Marta was amazing. Such a beautiful person to show us the Vatican. We even enjoyed lunch together after our tour. Should I ever be fortunate enough to travel to Rome again, Marta will be the first person I contact and the only guide I will use. Marta offers the best of the best when touring Rome!

A friend recommended Marta as a tour guide for our trip to Rome. As we had been to Rome before, we had specific sites that we wanted to revisit and new ones we had not yet seen. Marta was very responsive, and put together a tour agenda that met our requests. My husband, myself and our adult son spent an entire day with Marta, and she was very knowledgeable and personable. We would highly recommend Marta!

Just WOW! We visited the Forum/Colosseum and the Vatican with Marta on 2 different days in October. She was absolutely amazing. What an in-depth knowledge of all the places, people and artifacts. Her passion and enthusiasm absolutely brought the past to life. We learned so much! And so many great insights, from best views, to where to shelter from the sun for a discussion. And a lot of interesting side information along the way. Thanks Marta, you're awesome! Brian & Meg

Marta's depth of knowledge about Rome and its history was quite impressive. History buffs will enjoy her story-telling. She deepened our understanding and appreciation of Roman art, architecture, culture and history. She was also great at showing us how to navigate the streets of Rome, and giving us recommendations along the way on things we might enjoy. She can customize her tour to your needs and abilities.

We were lucky to have arranged a tour with Marta Marsili last week. Marta took us through and under San Clemente Basilica and St. Peter in Chains among other sites. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed our few hours with her and wish we had had another day to spend with her. Great guide!

We had a private tour with Marta to the Vatican. She was absolutely marvelous. I cannot say enough about the depth of her knowledge. There was nothing she did not know. It was quite apparent that Marta is more than a tour guide. She is a historian. If ever in Rome and you need a guide she is who you want!

We were two couples traveling from Seattle to Rome for the first time. We were given Marta's name/company by Rick Steve's Tour Company. We spent four days in Rome and booked three four-hour sessions (12 total hours) with Marta. Based on her suggestions, the three days of touring turned out to be PERFECT! The four hour time slots were just the right amount of time. Our first day we toured ruins and key parts of Rome in a walking tour/introduction with Marta. The second day was spent at the Vatican/St. Peter's Church/Museum. The third day was the Roman Colosseum, Forum and Senate areas. Time flew by with Marta. She knew every alley and courtyard along the way that brought a much more intimate feel to our touring. Her knowledge of art history and the rise/fall of the Roman empire was impressive. She carried some wonderful before and after pictures and maps of areas that enabled us to gain a much better appreciation for what things were first like in Rome. Marta also brought a refreshing personality with a combination of intellect and humor ... by the end, it seemed as if she were a friend we hadn't seen is some time! We can't say enough about what a value we felt we gained by having Marta as a private guide. And, all things considered, we did not spend any more money with Marta that the 4 of us would have individually with a tour company ... and our group would have been 4-5 times the size and not nearly as personal/customized. On a scale of 1 to 10, we all gave Marta an 11! We have commented so many times when asked about touring Rome and what we liked the most and our reply is always the same ... our time with Marta. If you travel across the world to finally see something as splendid as Rome, then see it in it's best light ... through the help/guidance of a pro like Marta. Thank you Marta! We miss you! You made our stay in Rome so memorable!

Massimo gave us a private four hour tour of Central Rome and it was wonderful! He listened to what we were interested in and tailored the tour accordingly. We saw beautiful places, got amazing pictures, and learned about Rome from a Roman. Best money spent on our trip.
