Stuart’s virtual tour of The Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel was incredibly entertaining and informative. You really felt that you were there with the excellent interaction of video, pictures, fascinating facts and humour. I would highly recommend this tour and when we get the chance to travel to Rome I would definitely book up one of Stuart’s ‘live’ tours view his depth of knowledge and engaging style.

We visited Rome with our kids and decided the best way to engage them would be to have a private tour guide to show us round the city. We did a walking tour of the sights (Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Colosseum, Forum) and another of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. Stuart was brilliant - friendly and engaging with an immense wealth of knowledge of Rome and its history. Stuart gave us a proper insight into this amazing city and had many nuggets of fascinating information. He also took away the pain of having to book tickets and navigate queuing systems, which in the August heat was a welcome bonus.

My husband and I had never been to Rome before and were so glad to have had the opportunity of booking Stuart Harvey as our guide.
He was always waiting at the pre-arranged meeting place when we arrived and was most engaging in his presentation of the history of Rome. We were particularly grateful to him for securing shortcuts or lifts for us (senior citizens) both in the Colosseum and the Vatican to save circuitous routes involving steep staircases.
He was animated and often humorous in his presentation of historical facts, frequently pointing out interesting glimpses of things that we might easily have missed.
We have no hesitation in highly recommending this friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable young man.

I’ve recently been on two of Start’s virtual tours – the Roman Forum and The Colosseum. Both were excellent – he explained where every building fitted into the history of the Roman Empire, and how they were built. He also made sure that we knew where we were within the Forum all the time and why the Colosseum looks like it does today.
He kept both me and my teenage daughter engaged in what he was telling us for 90 minutes each time.
Thoroughly recommended if you’ve ever wondered about Ancient Rome but don’t really know much about it, or as a primer if you’re planning a visit to Rome when all this madness ends,

We did Stuart's tour of The Vatican and Sistine Chapel. For an hour and a half my husband's attention did not waver for one second. It was BETTER than actually being there as you didn't have to queue up and get trampled on by disrespectful tourists. Stuart's depth of knowledge is evident. He's speaking from the heart, straight to camera without reading a script, carefully selecting which fascinating stories would play well with his particular audience. As an Englishman it goes without saying that his spoken language is faultless. Stuart has taken the trouble to record high-quality footage and sharp images. As others have said you really feel as if you're there. He is engaging, entertaining and witty. As a veteran of guided tours in a lifetime spent travelling it stands out as one of the best I've ever done and certainly the best virtual tour. A very cheap way to spend an evening - it would be a good present for a friend who misses travelling.

I attended Stuart's first virtual tour which was of the Roman Forum. I have been to the Forum before but had not done any research ahead of time. He gave an overview of the timeline including paintings and photos through history showing how it had appeared over several centuries. This gave the tour a sense of this place as it changed through history. I greatly appreciated participating as I am hoping to go to Italy in June. I plan to attend more of his virtual tours to prepare for my trip and to face the possibility that COVID will continue to restrict travel.

My husband and I love to travel and along with the rest of the world, we haven't been able to - until yesterday!! We traveled through Rome in the comfort of our own home all thanks to Stuart and his virtual guided tour of the Monumental Squares & Fountains of Rome. We have toured Rome with Stuart in the past and we are always amazed by his knowledge of the history of the city and the way he brings all the sights to life with personal perspectives. This virtual tour combined all of that with historical references (photos, prints, drawings and overlays) that you may not get to see when visiting the actual sites. If you miss traveling, you have to sign up for these virtual tours. Until we can all travel again, these tours will help keep your wanderlust in check and give you ideas for planning your next "real" travel adventure.

Stuart has a great gift for clarity of presentation. He knows how to weave events and stories into a memorable narrative. I have been round the public squares and walked along the river with him and each time I would have been happy for the 90 minutes to have been longer! I have also toured with him in person in both Rome and London. There are many great guides but you cannot get better than Stuart. I am looking forward to the launching of his new tour of Ostia Antica later this year.
Whether virtual or real, Stuart is more than value for money!

Being in the tourism business and after 30 years of hearing guides talk about Rome, today, I must admit, Stuart had me mesmerised. You hold the stage kiddo, and the information you share is very captivating. One never ceases to learn and today I have gained a lot. Thank you again and can't wait for another one.

You won’t find a better, more engaging guide to deliver a virtual tour of Rome. Stuart uses a mixture of photos, video and google street view to really bring the City to life. It’s the next best thing to being there. I’m looking forward to seeing what else he has to offer.

Hi there. Unfortunately we are both fully booked those days, so I'm afraid I can't help you this time. We are just 2 freelance tourist guides, rather than a travel agent / tour operator.
Best wishes. Have a great trip.

Hi Stuart - thanks for the speedy response. I guess I'd like to know if you can help; offer us a place on one of you tours, what we'll see and your recommendations...

Hi Larry .... I'm so sorry not to have replied earlier. I didn't get the message in my inbox.
Anyway unfortunately we are away on our own family holiday that whole week so there are no tours during that period.
Best wishes for your trip to Rome and sorry I can't help you this time.
