My wife and I travelled through Italy in May of 2016. In preparation, she forced me to pre-book tours so we could take in as much as possible during our time there. I'm not a tour kind of guy. I prefer to discover sites on my own. But some of the tours looked interesting, and a few were after-hours or... More

Martina made all the difference. We really didn't know what to expect as this was our first trip to Rome. She is prompt, very knowledgeable and a joy to be around. She was patient and answered all of our questions and provided multiple tips regarding Italian cuisine. Thank you Martina for making our trip memorable.

Valeria, our guide, was extremely informative about the food and history of the area. The food was wonderful and plentiful. A great way to see a part of Rome that we had not visited before. A very good value. Highly recommend.

Francesca took a group of 5 of us around the city. She explained the differences in restaurant types, what foods are local to Rome and in season, gave us some history of the area and suggestions on where else to eat. Her restaurant recommendations were way better than anything we stumbled across and definitely improved our eating experience the rest... More

This was a fun tour through Rome via food. We started at the Campo de Fiori food market and walked on from there. Along the way Francesca regaled us with interesting stories of the neighborhoods and what the flavors revealed about real Rome. I highly recommend this as a way to walk around some interesting neighborhoods that may not be... More

We booked the Food Tour: Campo de' Fiori, Jewish Ghetto & Trastevere: 10:30 AM Tour and were lucky enough to be the only two to show for our tour so we had a bit more 1:1 attention with Francesca. Regardless, it was one of the very best tours I've had. She was knowledgable, easy to understand and kind. We had... More

Was so happy with this tour!! We tried so many amazing things....gelato, pasta, fried artichokes, buffalo mozzarella and the list goes on. Our guide Valeria was so knowledgeable about food and the city of Rome. I assumed we would only learn about food but we also learned a lot about the history of the city and the areas we went... Giorgia, our host was excellent! I had booked this tour for my boyfriend as he loves food, however it ended up being my favourite tour. Our host took us to a variety of beautiful places and we tried some lovely local dishes. I wish we had started with this tour so we could make the most out of her recommendations.... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
