We started our trip in Rome with the food tour of campo di fiori, Jewish quarter, and trastevere. Our guide Federica was just perfect. She not only took us to the most local joints, but also shared about the history of the locality and what influenced the culinary tradition of the area. It was also a great way to explore the neighbourhoods in Rome which you otherwise might miss if only spending time in the historic centre.

The tour covers the famous pastas of Rome (the fab 4) and icons like supli, but also lesser known (at least lesser known to our group) street foods like montanare and fried zucchini blossoms!

We appreciated the tips that Federica also shared about identifying a truly local place vs tourist traps. There’s A LOT of food to eat so highly recommend skipping lunch if you’re doing an evening tour (ours was at 5:30 pm). There’s also wine/beer at ALL stops so you might want to pace yourself.

Walking around Roma is always a surprising and interesting experience. This short visit to Rome, before a week on the Amalfi coast and a week in Sicily, included a terrific food tour of the Campo Fiori, Jewish Ghetto and Travesterre areas, as well as a visit to the Borghese Gallery for a view of their 6 Caravaggio paintings. All absolutely recommended.

Food tours are a great way to start exploring a city and country!
We loved Federico’s energy. We were educated about the various cheeses used in Italian cooking. I was so surprised and loved the visit to the Forno to sample the type of pizza the Romes love. We learned about the “Fab 4” … the four pasta dishes that make up what most Nona’s cook.
We learned about the origin of fried foods in Italian cooking. Who would have know !
Of course we could not finish without stopping for gelato.
Thank you for a great evening . Highly recommend it as you learn about the communities and a bit of history too.

This was a great tour. Natasha, our guide, was enthusiastic and informative both about typical Roman food and the areas of Rome through which we walked. The food offerings were substantial and delicious. I’d highly recommend this tour.

We went on the 16:30 tour with Federicia ”Fede” and she was amazing. She gave a very good account of Rome’s history, food and culture. She had a very inclusive, warm and positive way and made us all feel at home.

I had a great time with Mariel and Chef Gabrielo! Both of them as well as the entire staff of the restaurant were friendly and welcoming. We made pasta, stuffed zuccini flowers and two sauces (cacio e pepe and amatriciana). They also served a jewish style artichoke, fried baccala, wine, and a dessert sampler with prosecco. None of which I was expecting. It was a beautiful night, the food was great, and the company was outstanding. They even let me keep the apron.
I spent 9 days in Rome. These were my favorite 3 hours. Grazie mille Gourmetaly!

My daughter and I did this food tour together. We were lucky to have Anastasia for our guide. She was fun, enthusiastic, informative and engaging! We learned a lot about the neighborhoods we walked thru while enjoying some very delicious food. We learned the difference between fresh and non fresh pasta, how to pick a quality gelato place and tried fried artichokes and Suppli which were so good! We also had pizza, pasta & wine and ended with gelato. We enjoyed ourselves so much we did the tour a second time and brought my mom along. We highly recommend!

The food was average, but outstanding gelato at the end. Great guide whose name I can’t recall who gave us lots of history and cultural info. We love food tours and this did not disappoint.

We met our guide at an easy to find location! The food was absolutely delicious! We ate homemade pasta dishes, arancini, zucchini blossoms, homemade cheeses, meats, and the best gelato! We walked around Rome and learned a lot as well! This tour is a must do when in Rome.

Thank you so much , we live to keep the menu seasonal. Many people comes to Rome thrilled to taste the famous recipes like the fried artichoke or the puntarelle for example. But many do not know that those products are seasonal. To offer you an authentic selection and the food that local people eat, on our tours you will find only the best food of the season. Happy you loved it
