The area
Neighborhood: Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighborhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centerpiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the center to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.

You'll Want To Go Back
Sep 2017 • Couples
This restaurant has a divine menu along with a good wait team to deliver it to your table. The decor set's you up to relax and enjoy the beautiful meal. Once you have had an enjoyable meal you feel sated. The only way to leave a restaurant is with a desire to come back. With this experience that is topmost in mind.

Great market for food
Jul 2013
Open from 6am to 2pm, there ate lots of vendors with a huge variety of largely regional produce, or with their province well marked. Great pride is obviously taken with their displays as well.

I was like a kid in a candy store, and cancelled a dinner booking that night to make use of some of my booty.

Good fun

Great Local Market!
Feb 2012 • Couples
From the Belli stop in Trastevere, this outdoor (covered) market is about 8 stops away (going west). It's on the right side of the street, easily seen from the tram. Great for produce, meats, cheese and any household items that you may have forgot to pack. Friendly venders
