Great place to visit and learn about Roman history. Need to come as early as possible to avoid traffic and ques. Bring camera and make sure to wear a comfort shoes because you will walk a lot.

This was our first call of the day. Very interesting, didn't realize how tall the building is. Great architecture, a shame so much of it was in ruins. well worth the visit.

To see the Colosseum in 'original' is really worth every €uro. It is amazing to see what these ancient constructors had built - in this size and for that number of spectators of "pane et circem". A really great place.

Can you book the underground tours of the colosseum when you are there and how much do one expect to pay. My probelm was i already booked on line to the 3 places but could not get the underground tour on the day. I am hoping I can get a guided tour of the underground outside the Colosseum.
