We have stayed at the Locarno in prior years, but this year we stayed elsewhere. But we HAD to go back to the Locarno, back to their garden bar, and back for their wonderful Negronis. They are among the very best in Rome. We love...More

We wanted somewhere a bit up-market for our last night in Rome, and this fitted the bill nicely. There was a thunderstorm, so we stayed in the bar rather than venturing on to the patio - but that had comfortable furniture and a pleasant ambience....More

Met up with a friend for aperitivo at the Hotel Locarno Bar. The inside bar is classic and clubby -- I look forward to having drinks there as well -- but since the weather was so nice we met out in the lovely patio. Cocktails...More

Lovely bar, with cozy decor and music from the 20's. Great cocktails (and we came with high expectations), but we found the prices a bit high - 15? for a cocktail, though you get nice apperitivo to go along.. For summary - recommended!

Round about 7.30 pm we walked into the "garden" by the bar and were greeted cordially and shown to a table near the "fountain" which served as a pleasant backdrop. We asked for a tomato juice with more lemon and angostura than is usual but...More
