Our tours with Agnes were the highlight of our recent visit to Rome. Her encyclopaedic knowledge of all thing Roman, the history, the art, different influences over the centuries. Agnes' ability to communicate her knowledge and her love of Rome make this experience quite exceptional. We did 2 tours, the first: Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel and the second: Field of Mars, both tours were so interesting, we learned so much and enjoyed the whole experience. Worth every penny of the price and I can only hope there will be a next time.

A friend + I toured Ancient Rome with Agnes in early December 2021. It was my friend's first time in Rome + my third time on a tour of the same area. She was engaging, entertaining, and I was able to walk away learning things about Ancient Rome I had not learned on previous (also excellent) tours. Highly recommend!

For the last three years now I have had online talks for my birthday. Although I do this just for me, I do invite my friends to share and it’s just such a perfect way to share my favorite subjects with them.
Agnes is such the perfect host and guide. Every talk has been beyond exceptional and so informative. Even though all my friends have very different likes and dislikes they always love these talks.
I have even had the pleasure of having an in person tour and frankly it is like wondering around with a good friend.
Would always recommend Anges work including her blogs and podcasts.
Always a pleasure.

My husband and I took Agnes’s Vatican museums tour and had an absolutely wonderful afternoon. All communication before the actual tour date was A+ and Agnes was delightful: super knowledgable about the Vatican’s history and collections as well as Rome in general, personable, and really fun to hang out with. She kept our particular interest in Raphael in mind as we toured around - very much appreciated. We learned a great deal and had a really enjoyable experience. The tour was unquestionably worth the price and we’d love to do another tour with Agnes on our next visit.

My family and I did an underground Rome tour with Agnes. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. We went to some places I would not have found myself and Agnes’ commentary let us appreciate what we were seeing. She was a very accommodating guide and showed great enthusiasm for all periods of history we encountered.
I cannot recommend the experience enough.

Agnes Crawford is the best tour guide I've ever had. Despite the pouring rain, Agnes kept our family enthralled as she explained the history of Ancient Rome as reflected in the Colosseum and Forum. She is incredibly knowledgeable, articulate and funny.

You can read all the guide books in the world but you just can’t beat being lead through history by an erudite and enthusiastic guide. One who can take you beyond and beneath the obvious with explanations, cultural references and links; who knows their subject comprehensively but whose tours are never laboured or mechanical; who tailors the visit to your individual requirements and with whom you can engage in engrossing discussion about what you see before you. Agnes Crawford is such a guide. This was our third tour with Agnes and we cannot wait for the next!

After some discussion about what sites to visit recently with Agnes and her able assistant Anna, we agreed on a 3 hour Palatine Tour, which included the House of Livia. I was so pleased to have arranged this, as Agnes is very knowledgeable and able to put the context of what we were seeing in an easy way to understand. She also had dealt with ticketing, which saved much time. We would certainly stay in touch with Agnes about tours on any further visit to Rome or nearby. We thought her charge for this overall represented value for money if you appreciate having an inside professional as much more than a guide.

I was bringing my family to Rome for the first time as part of a larger two-week summer vacation. Since I had lived in Rome for 6 months previously, I know the city pretty well and what I wanted to share with my teenage children. Anna and Agnes helped to curate a wonderful tour of art masterpieces that took us on a walking tour that spanned the city. Along the way Agnes personalized it even more with her flowing commentary about the history, lifestyles and more. She made it a wonderful experience for my entire family. We would all highly recommend her!

My family of ten (aged 74 to 11) loved our two tours with Ms. Crawford. We were very lucky that she was free to take us through the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill and the Forum on one morning and out to the port city of Ostia Antica the next. Her knowledge of the subject matter was expected but the manner in which she presented the information so that young and old alike were engaged exceeded all of my expectations. Both tours were exceptional but we all were wowed by our time at Ostia Antica. She also recommended restaurants for our post-tour lunches and the one in Ostia Antica was the best restaurant meal we had during our two weeks in Italy. Her colleague Anna provided pre-trip information and helped me during every step of the booking. My advice, especially if you are traveling with family, is to plan very early so that you don't miss the opportunity to tour with Ms. Crawford. Her services are deservedly very much in demand.

I’m so delighted your trip went well, and that you had such a good lunch at Ostia!

Can you give me an idea of the cost of the Water and Roads tour? Her website does not seem to list prices.

No sorry I didn’t do that one. We did the coliseum and the Vatican museum tours they were around $300 each as I recall. Worth every penny.
Is that 278 euros per person?

Hi Tony,
The $278 was the total cost of the tour for two, including entry tickets. We had two tours with Agnes, both were absolutely top-notched. Worth every penny! Have fun!
Hello just a quick question how much are these tours?
Many thanks
