When I was guiding in 2002, I noticed that people wanted a much more personal experience. This is what inspired me to start Select Tours Italy. We are an incoming tour operator that takes care of the full tour experience, from airport transfers to accommodations to activities, all packaged together so you don't have to worry about details. We were married back in 2021, at the tail end of the COVID pandemic and were not able to take our honeymoon right away. We were finally able to do so this year and needless to say, Ana and her team understood how important this was for us. From start to finish, they walk you through an easy process and inquire what it is you're looking for on your excursion to Italy. They have meticulously crafted an experience that was filled with what you want to see alongside their own personal recommended sites, restaurants, and notable places to see within each city listed in our trip.
On the second day of our arrival to Italy, I've lost my passport, debit card, credit card, and cash - a most unfortunate turn of events. The team helped and supported us in changing up the schedule to closely match the original itinerary and to ensure I was able to return home. The amount of care and empathy they have given is something my wife and I will never forget and will forever be grateful for. Though we've had such a a bumpy beginning on our trip, their help made us forget the whole thing had even occurred and allowed us to enjoy the trip regardless.

We highly recommend Selected Tours of Italy for your Italian travel services. Ana and her team were recommended to us by a dear family friend who had used their services several times. Selected Tours of Italy did not disappoint! My sister-in-law and I did the early planning with Ana and Laura secretly as we surprised our two spouses with this trip. During a family video call, after the initial planning, Ana even agreed to make the surprise announcement to the extended family – live from Vatican City!
We are so thankful we found Selected Tours of Italy and used their “turnkey” travel services. In our case, we paid upfront for all included services and never had to worry about coordinating any hotel arrangements, driver services, or professional guide services. The boutique hotels they selected were top-notch and convenient to all the popular attractions.
They made our 16-day trip across five regions of Italy so much fun and rewarding, and we didn't have to worry about logistics or coordination. We visited Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento, Agropoli, Florence, and Tuscany. We have fallen in love with Italy and look forward to working with them again on our next trip! BRAVO!

My adult family of five traveled to Sicily & Italy last month and I cannot say enough about the fantastic and seamless experience we had. The team at Selected Tours of Italy worked tirelessly with us for months as they took the wishes of five personalities and molded our likes into an amazing trip that had us all smiling throughout our adventure. Our drivers were top notch, timely, & knowledgeable. That piece alone made for a stress free experience! What an unforgettable trip for my sisters and me as we celebrated my retirement. Selected Tours Italy was amazing. They took care of everything!!!! Accommodations, transportation, tour guides, and unique experiences. They partner with the best experts and professionals.
Our tour guide was not only extremely knowledgeable, but he deftly navigated us through crowds at the Colosseum, the Vatican and Borghese museum and seemingly was able to find quiet corners where he provided us with just the right amount of information without overwhelming us. Selected Tours also provided us with professional drivers who were prompt, courteous and also very knowledgeable about their beautiful city.
I particularly appreciated Selected Tours catering to our specific request of a slower paced vacation, unique concert experience and fantastic restaurant recommendations.
I cannot say enough about their continuous communication and excellent customer service. I highly recommend Selected Tours Italy. Grazie Mille!!!

We just returned from an amazing trip to Italy. We were 3 couples traveling to Rome, Tuscany, Florence & Venice. The trip was wonderful and the experiences were fantastic. Selected Tours put together an itinerary that was simply amazing. We saw all the main sites and also got to experience a taste of real Italy with a cooking class, farm visits and lunches at vineyards. The trip was seamless, and we didn't have to worry about anything. Selected Tours took care of everything from transportation to entry tickets to tour guides. All we had to do was have a great time!
I would definitely use Selected Tours on our next trip and would not hesitate to recommend them.

This is my second trip organised and planned by Selected Tours. With limited time to plan and arrange all accommodation, activities and services in the busiest time to visit Italy nothing was a trouble for Selected Tours and everything exceeded my expectations. This was the second time within one year that we hired Ana and her amazing staff to create a fabulous Italian vacation. This time we spent two weeks in Sicily. Comparable to our trip last Spring, Selected Tours designed another perfect way to explore an area we’ve never visited, arranged great hotels, tour guides, drivers, and activities that were fascinating , fun, and made a lifetime of memories. From the moment we landed in country, to our last day, Ana’s team were always available when we needed them, the drivers were always on time and professional, and the guides knew their subjects, communicated clearly, and were fun to hang out with.

Italy is much more than Florence, Lake Como, Rome etc. There are many small towns with history and wonderful corners to discover and Ana and her team make this possible. Viterbo, Pitigliano, Sorano and Orvieto are some of those we visit and I do not change them for the big cities.

We recently completed our second trip to Italy with Selected Tours, and highly recommend their services to anyone visiting this beautiful country. Ana, Laura, and the entire team helped us put together a truly customized experience including accommodations, transportation, tours, and more. They also happily offer their recommendations and expertise making the perfect vacation. Having a custom planned trip allowed us to see and do everything we wanted on our own (as opposed to a group tour) but since they help answer questions prior to arrival and are just a quick message away during the trip, you never feel as though you're alone. While we don't know when we'll next be heading to Italy, we're sure when the time comes it will be with Selected Tours once again.

My family of five decided to go to Italy for a summer vacation. We were in Italy for nine days. I received a recommendation to talk with Selected Tours. All I can say is this was the best decision we could have ever made. From the first email making contact, to the time we returned home, we received the greatest service we could have asked for.
It started with some emails and a zoom call. From there, we corresponded with Laura until we had the perfect trip for us. They truly listened to what we were wanting and made great recommendations. They would even tell us when they believed that something was too much for one day. After communicating back and forth, we came to an itinerary and made the payment. Within a few days, we had a detailed list of activities, dates, times, pick-up locations, train tickets, and everything you would need.
Once this was done, the contact didn't stop. We continued to receive emails regarding changes in COVID protocols and any other updates that were necessary. Still, the communication didn't stop there. When we arrived in Italy, we had constant communication with them. They set up a communication line that was available at all times. Every event that we scheduled, they were early and ready when we got there.
Each of our guides, especially Ana, were a wealth of information. We were not simply walking around looking at buildings, painting, etc. We received detailed information about the history, unique aspects, common misconceptions, and so much more. It would have been impossible to obtain the level of detail on our own.
I cannot say enough good things about Selected Tours. Our time in Italy was stress free, because every aspect of the trip was carefully coordinated and planned. Selected Tours impressed me with their attention to detail and efficiency.

Hi Ana, My name is Jeff and my girlfriend Mary and I will be traveling to Italy from Sept. 25 - Oct 7 and we were wondering if you could help us with travel and tour arrangements. Suzanne Hueberger gave us your name and told us you could be of some help. We will be flying into Rome on Sept. 26th and we were thinking about heading straight to Lucca and spending about 5 days with day trips to Florence and Pisa, and returning to Rome on Oct. 1st. and returning to USA on the 7th. Colosseun and Catacombes just a couple things in Rome we would like to see, any other historic sites you could suggest would be very helpful. Some tourist attractions would be good but off the wall attractions are also acceptable.
