The area
Address
Neighborhood: Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.

Designed and built in the 1920s, Galleria Alberto Sordi is described as an elegant shopping centre but it’s a little sad at the moment.
Very few shops seemed to be open and it was rather dark and gloomy inside. Nothing caught our eye and nothing made us stop and linger. You’d be very disappointed if you headed here for shopping.
The Galleria is noted for its beautiful Art Nouveau decor with mosaic floor, wooden panelling and high stained glass ceilings. This was interesting but only warranted a quick look as we walked through.
Of more interest was the facade, which has imposing rows of columns that give it a grand palazzo look.
If you exit onto the Via Del Corso, you will find yourself opposite the Piazza Colonna and the 2000 year old, 40 metre tall victory column of Marcus Aurelius. This is worth crossing the busy road and having a closer look at.

Recently re-opened after extensive renovation, this is a beautiful shopping arcade just across from Piazza Colonna. It has lovely Art Nouveau stained glass ceilings and is well worth a look if you are in the area. It has some clothing shops, a pastry shop, and a large toy store. As of May 2024, there are still some restaurants that have not opened yet but are expected to open soon.

Il centro commerciale è tutto bellissimo!

What a gorgeous, upscale, elegant shopping mall right in the heart of Rome opposite Piazza Colonna! The architectural design is absolutely magnificent, the shops and high fashion boutiques are exquisite and utterly elegant, specialty shops (leather goods, maps, books, etc) are wonderfully unique... Several lovely cafes and chocolate shops invite you to take a break from busy sightseeing relax with a nice cup of espresso and pastries.

This shopping mall named after one of the most beloved Italian actors, Alberto Sordi, has become a new treasure of Rome which rightfully deserves his famous name.

This place is for both architecture lovers and shoppers, and we had both in our group. The Art Nouveau style of this building is beautiful just to look at, but full of shops to interest your Italian loving needs. We recommend just to walk inside and see for yourself why everyone is attracted to it.

I was looking for a shopping center in Rome.....unfortunately, I couldn't find one....I mean, a big shopping center, outlet, good offers, prices....
Here, in the Gallery, you can find very expensive products, European Firms, small place, very nice building with History, but not a mall o shopping center, I was very disappointed....
All the city is full of Stores, but firms like Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Fendi, Givenchy..... not in everybody's budget....

Beautiful old building turned into a small mall, with mosaic floors and stained glass ceilings.

Wifi here is very, very reliable and free! Lots of shops to choose from as well as free toilets. Be careful as they may be dirty or backed up during peak hours.

This building was built in the early 1900's and renovated in 2003. It is a small shopping mall that has pretty ceilings, floors and facades. It was nice to wander through.

Only high end brands exist here. For more variety and local brands Via Del Corso where this store neighbours offers a wider variety and options for shopping with varying prices.

If you are walking down via del Corso then why not stop in here? It's cute but not worth a special trip. It has a couple of nice stores and a couple of cafes. Massimo Dutti is in here which is a reliable if pedestrian clothing store.

Most importantly - it has quite clean but busy public toilets. You'll have to pay 1 Euro - but it's a clean toilet in the middle of Rome :-)
