My husband and I took the Colosseum tour (two parts, included the Palantino and Forum) from another, unknown tour guide. While we were happy we were able to skip the extremely long line and glean a few tidbits of extra info from our guide, we had difficulty understanding her and the group inexplicably kept growing from 20 to 100+ by... We were referred to Alex by our guide from the Forum and Palatine hill. We did not know what to expect but were up for an adventure. Alex showed us the real beauty of Rome and wound great stories along the way. We visited churches that we had just walked past without knowing of their beauty and history. He certainly... More

We met Alex by accident when he picked up a tour we found our way onto. I could wax lyrical but the best thing to say is just do this. We haven't felt such joy in listening and learning since we were at school - with a good teacher!

So much to see so little time....when in Roma you want to see the sites and you want to see the back alleys, really local food, and what to stay away from. It helps if you have a Land Rover if you want to drive up the the side of a mountain in Tivoli. Ask for Steven. Have a good... More

We got on a random skip the line tour at the Colosseum and they told us that we could continue on with the next tour guide, Alex, at the Roman Forum/Palestine Hill. Well Alex ended up being THE highlight of our entire trip to Rome and I don't think we would have had the experience without his tour. First of... More

Alexander's tour was without a doubt the highlight of our 2 week road trip through Italy. He blends his amazing historical knowledge with a gift for story telling and humor. He is absolutely the best at what he does. I would absolutely recommend booking a tour with him without hesitation.

We were really lucky to meet Alex as part of a guided tour through the Palatine after having visited the Colosseum. Alex knows how to captivate his audience and communicates his passion (which appears unlimited) about Rome. We took another tour with him the day after which we can only recommend to anyone who comes visiting Rome. If you are... More

Alex Marriotti gave a great tour of the Forum /Palatine Hill. Unexpected, and had no idea who he was, nor his background...which I have now researched. We were very fortunate to have him. Would have liked to have more tours with him around Rome.

We signed up for a tour purely by chance and so glad we did. He's a great speaker and very funny. Very knowledgeable and kept us interested all of the way round. Some great surprises as well which will make some good conversations over a pint.
