The food and wine were great - we were both way full by the time we ended. We started with some anitpasti - fried artichoke hearts and some type of cheese that... More

Kate was a really good tour guide, her Mom would be proud :). We learned a lot of Roman History and not just about food on the tour. We took this tour early on in our trip to Rome, and it really helped us to eat at all the right places with Kate's tips and tricks!! Great food and market... More

We did the "Taste of Testacchio" tour with Arthur and the "Twilight Trastevere" with Sarah. Both were amazing! Both tours included some of the best food Rome has to offer, cultural stops, and great tour guides. I like that they take you to local shops and restaurants that aren't typically frequented by tourists. The tours were four hours each, but... More

I attended Marco Lori's wine pairing dinner in Rome last week. What an amazing experience! I try to do something like this in every city. This was one of the best I've attended. Marco's knowledge of wine and how to pair with foods is impressive. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone in Rome.

We found this tour company on trip advisor and it had by far the best reviews. Kate was our tour guide and she was fantastic. What a great sampling of food in Testaccio. Fried snacks, cheeses, salami, bruschetta, pasta, this was an A+

I had went on an amazing food tour through Eating Italy in Rome! I did the Twilight Trastevere with Dara and had a wonderful time. He was amazing, and the food that we ate was delectable. It was a lot of food, but so fun to try so many things I would not have found on my own. It was... More

My family visited me for a week during my study abroad stay in Rome. As a treat, we booked this dinner and it ended up being the highlight of their stay! We had such a great time trying the delicious courses with different wines to see which ones paired perfectly, and which ones did not. Marco could not have been... More

We had a wonderful tour with Luca. A perfect tour with lots of interesting details and wonderful food. The group was small and it made for a great evening of walking and eating and then eating some more. I highly recommend the tour and would definitely take another one with them.

Dominico was our guide, and I find it hard to believe the twilight tour has better guides. He starts off with an introduction, then personalizes it by having everyone tell a little about themselves. Great ice breaker. He has fun with everyone, has a great sense of humor, and he seems to know what he's talking about to boot. Born... More

Staying in Testaccio

Neighborhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighborhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
