We used the Rome Airport Transportation for airport to hotel transfer the first day, and then for our hotel to the port transfer a few days later. They were timely, dependable, friendly and helpful. Top of the line transportation. The highest recommendation.

Our driver was at the airport waiting on us. Even through the walk to the car was long, it created no problems as he helped us with our bags. Would be nice it they could park a little closer.

Our flight arrived early to Rome Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) and we had booked a specific pick-up time somewhat beyond our actual arrival time. Beyond that, our driver was slightly late, causing a rather lengthy wait to begin our Italian holiday. The airport authorities do...More

I hope so therefore supplying a carseat if you are not bringing one with you. We saw a few accidents, can't believe there aren't more the way the cabs "create" passing lanes. Buckle up!

Can anyone advise me on the best way to get from Fiumicino airport to Leonardo da Vinci airport? Also, any suggestions for reasonably priced accommodations near either airport?

Aren't they one and the same. Or did you mean from Fiumicino to Ciampino airport?

I will be in Rome in April for 8 days, then transferring by Romecabs to Positano for a few days, then hire a car service to Sorrento and take a ferry to Capri for a few days. On the return, I would like to travel more efficiently. What is the most efficient way to make this trip? I don't want to rent a car. Thanks.

Why do you have a car service out to Positano and Sorrento? Why not just take the train to Naples and then either the commuter train to Sorrento or a private transfer or bus to Positano? You're going to spend many hundreds of euros for private drivers when there really is no need to. Donna

Hi Everyone, I have been intensely reading this forum for the past month and I have to say this has got to be one of the most friendliest and informative forums that I have encountered on TA. Ok enough of that here is my reason for asking for help. My wife and I are taking our 3 grown children to Italy June 09 for 10 days. I have discovered that what I thought might be an affordable trip is fast becoming to much $$$. We want to spent at least 4 days in Rome and I am thinking an apartment in...More

There is so much to do and see in Italy so your itinerary should be customized to your specific tastes. Of course I'm dying to see the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo's David but, beyond that, visiting a lot of museums wouldn't really appeal to me as much as it would to others on the forum. Your best bet is to start with a guide book so you can get an idea of what sites and activities are most important to you and your family. I started out with Eyewitness Travel's Italy guidebook but...More
