I usually do not book organised tours but this time, I am very happy that I did. An excellent tour with the very entertaining and extremely knowledgeable Mircea. The smaller group was also much better than being part of some of the much larger tours operated by other companies. There was, apparently, a change of time required for my booking. Although it was only 30 minutes or so, when I was contacted to advise of this, I was also offered an upgraded tour for the inconvenience. I thoroughly recommend Roman Vacations and also booking the Arena Floor part of the Colosseum Tour to get the full experience. Thank you for the customer service and the excellent tour.

I went on a walking tour more than once because all the tours are super interesting and I have fun every time. The tour guide Mircea is very passionate and knowlegeable about what he does, it's hard not to share his enthusiasm and appreciation for the eternal city. I highly recommend the tours to anyone living in this city or just visiting.

Had a great tour of Baroque Rome through the center of Rome. This small company is just starting out, but the guides have years of experience and a passion for the city that really shines through. Angela really worked with us to customize our tour exactly to our interests. James, a Rome native with a charming British accent, was our guide and amused us with fascinating anecdotes about the city but also such a rich history of the period, its artists and their masterpieces and influences. All topped off by a fabulous recommendation on where to get an aperitivo at the end. Would highly recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in Rome!

We took the "Special Masters of the Baroque Tour" in a small group. It was amazing. The guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the city and the art masterpieces that we saw. They answered all the questions and were very engaging. We discovered Bernini's art in places we didn't even know existed. We saw some amazing Caravaggio paintings hidden in mysterious churches. The tour was fun and we discovered a lot of new things about the city we are living in. Perfect for locals and tourists alike.

Guide was very informative and entertaining. He clearly loved his job and was constantly providing the group with details without it becoming boring or too much.
We were in a group of around 14 people which was ideal and helped allow us to make time for questions or slow down if we wanted to stay in a certain area for a few more moments. So glad we booked this and would highly recommend to others.

Wow!! What a tour and what a fabulous guide Radu was. He made the whole experience absolutely fabulous from start to finish, his great sense of humour and depth of knowledge about the Colosseum, the Forum and Palatine Hill just brought the whole experience to life.
My family and I will always remember our tour and I would recommend this trip to absolutely everyone, especially if it’s lead by the wonderful Radu!

Fantastic tour delivering great bang for buck. Booking and finding the location was very easy, the office is a short walk from the metro. The staff were very pleasant upon arrival, but the best part by far was Radu, what an absolute character and amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable and rattled off all of the facts and stories you wanted to know, delivering it in a fun and unique way you would seldom see on a guided tour. you’d have to see to understand what we mean. We both have a very short attention span and not one part of the tour was boring. Thanks Radu and Roman vacations for the great experience.

A really good tour of the colosseum and forum with an excellent guide. Richard was knowledgable, funny and enthusiastic and gave a great insight into what life would have been like. It was a small group tour, well organised, left on time and very good value for money.
It was an incredibly hot day and Richard sought out shade at every opportunity so we could listen without the fierce sun.

We used Roman Vacations for a Florence Tour. Our guide, Angela, did an excellent job of planning our two days. She bought all of our museum tickets, recommended restaurants and shopping locations. She is extremely knowledgeable about art history and Florence which enhanced all of the museum visits. Strongly recommend Roman Vacations for tours of Florence.
