There are several Catacombs worth visiting, but if you only visit one, I would make it this one. They give a great little tour and you see a lot and learn a lot.

We travelled by Metro and local bus from Rome. The tour was well paced and the guide spoke very good English and had interesting facts which he delivered in an easily understood manner with humour

We stopped here on our bikes - English tour that finishes in the church – nice tour that encompasses the rich history of the Catecombe. One of the largest in Rome – memorable and fascinating!

We were going to see some more famous catacombs but they were closed so we trekked down the road to these which were open. 8 euro entry fee included the tour guide and tour. The tour was in English but several other languages were offered....More

I was not going to visit the catacombs because I thought it would be too "creepy", however after my husband took a tour, I changed my mind based on his recommendation. It wasn't "creepy" at all- it was very interesting and the tour guide was...More

A visit to the catacombs is a very religious experience as you walk on the grounds where the early Christian martyrs and saints were buried. This is a short thirty minute guided tour. If you are a very serious person of faith, if you could...More

We took a guided English tour and I'm very glad we did. You walk through complicated pathway to view the catacombs and find out all the bones have been removed because tourists kept taking them! The guide explained the different types of crypts, and the...More

We toured San Sebastiano catacombe and thought it was great until we went up the road a little further and visited the Catacombs of San Callisto. There was much more too see and the guide we had was excellent.

Well worth the rather complicated journey to reach this absolutely fascinating with multi language tours which are very well presented, this is a great facility well worth the visit.

This tour definitely goes to some less visited sites, for those interested in going beyond the typical Vatican, Coliseum, Forum, etc. sites. While we had one tour bus with about 35 people on it, there were 2 guides assigned which made the group smaller and...More

From memory, we took a bus too. It stops directly outside the catacombs. Only thing to factor in is the frequency- make sure you plan your trip around the return times. This is the definitely the cheapest option, but very... More
