We are an Aussie group aged in our 50s and 60s. Glen was an excellent communicator who happily allowed us to change plans due to rain. We highly recommend the Appian Way ride with stop off at the catacombs, stunning views of the aquaducts and an excellent market bought picnin. Musa was our guide and we appreciated his knowledge and... More

Booked the Appian Way/Catacombs/Aquaduct tour after spending three days in central Rome. Saw it as an opportunity to venture out to see some of the more remote sights and wasn't disappointed. Masu, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and an excellent host throughout the five hour tour. Has a great sense of humour and was able to answer all questions. Catacombs... More

I hate to write a negative review, but I will just state the facts. We pre-paid for the tour on-line and received several emails saying how important it was to get there by 9:20am. We had to pay an expensive cab ride to ensure we weren't late and rush breakfast and hustle our 2 kids out the door to arrive... More

We were recommended this tour and I'm pleased that we booked it. Our tour guide - Konrad - was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgable. He Showed us places that we would have never gone to on foot. Plus one magical secret view. I can say no more or there will be no breathtaking surprise. We booked a private tour. It... More

When I ask my 11 year old, 13 year old, 17 year old, husband, and myself, what the best part of our entire Italian vacation was, the sunset bicycle ride was the overwhelming favorite for everyone!

My husband and I went with our teenage son. We requested to postpone the ride due to weather and Glen was just brilliant. He rearranged for next day to fit with our Vatican City prebooked tour. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and covered all places we wanted to visit. It was a brilliant tour with a fantastic guide. Thank... More

We can't recommend this trip more highly. Musa guided 4 of us over the cobbles, weaving us safely through the Easter Monday crowds along the Appian Way. He was really enthusiastic to share his knowledge, using pictures to illustrate how the ruins would once have looked. The pace was good and the route was mainly flat, but after a few... More

We were looking to see the aqueduct park and the catacombs and ended up going on the highlight of our trip so far. I booked the trip last minute online (actually at 11pm the night before) when I found another review. They confirmed our tour at 7am the next morning and we met our guide Leonardo two hours later. Biking... More

My wife has already done a review but I have to say this tour really opened our eyes to the history of Rome and its many sites of significance in just four hours. I am looking back at it and still can't believe how much we managed to fit in. As a tour guide Konrad was fantastic, possibly the best... More

We spent 12 days in Italy - Rome, Florence, Bologna, and Venice. This day was our absolute BEST day. We had a magnificent time exploring Rome in a small group of 5, followed by an afternoon tour which included the catacombs and the aqueducts. It was fantastic, as were our guides... particularly Moussa who literally pushed me up the final... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
