We were 4 girls and did the bicycle tour after flying overnight. We planned our bike tour to include sites that we would not see the following day with our private driver. We requested no hills and no sun. LOL They were able to accommodate the no hills. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative. He had us laughing... More

We didn't have much time in Rome to get out and see the city and I'm so glad we opted for a cycle tour rather than a bus tour. Our guide Glen took us down lots of quaint little streets which enabled us to see a lot more and get a great feel for the place. Glen is a fantastic... More

Overall a pretty good way to see Rome, we did the all day tour and got back into the city I think a bit latter than planned and missed a few of the main attractions which we passed on our way back to the shop, organisation was a bit lacking I felt and the bikes were poorly maintained.

Over all, I really enjoyed this tour - excellent guide and an opportunity to go to place we would otherwise not have gone. Europe has had a particularly hot summer and so cycling in that heat did make the trip a bit of a struggle in places ... and did I mention the hills?! The views and interesting information did... We made a last minute decision to join the Rome tour & it was certainly a great choice. The company were very accommodating & replied to my enquiry instantly. We only had the morning in Rome but were able to see many of the main sights. We even saw the Pope giving his Sunday address - a great bonus! The... More

Glenn took us even though there were only two of us for the tour this day. He knew alot about the city and was very informative on every place he took us to. It lasted 4 hours but it is not tiring and we had water breaks every so often.

Our tour with Red Bicycle Tour was created just for us. We were asked what we were looking to see and our guide provided it for us. We were looking to see things which weren't on the usual guided tour and our guide, who was a very passionate local was happy to accommodate.

We went for a bike tour with Glen on Monday, and despite the roaring Roman heat of summer it was perfect. We were only two, and had a great experience. Glen was knowledgeable, thorough and funny, he was also flexible when we had already visited a site, or were more happy cruising along the streets than stopping to hear information... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
