Myself and my spouse took the half day Bicycle tour of Rome with Leonardo as our guide. I used to bike a bit but had done any in the past 4-5 years. Leonardo was very upbeat and we enjoyed his company tremendously, he guided us through the Appian way and we came across this hidden treasure (the St Callixtus tomb)... More

Booked a full day tour through Glenn the owner which really is two tours. The City of Rome Tour and the Appian Way. Glenn's communication was fantastic and he ensured everything was included that we requested. The morning tour was with Michaeli who ensured we visited nearly all of Rome's major attractions. This tour was done on high quality hybrid... More

I'll start with the bad. Unfortunately, we showed up at the office and no one was there waiting for us. This is a small shop and I was pleased to offer them business but they completely forgot about our appointment. Fortunately, I was able to able to reach Glenn who was genuinely surprised and very apologetic. He was able to... More

Having been to Rome multiple times, I wanted to have a chance to see the lesser seen sights. Red Bicycle was super accommodating on very short notice. A small group meant that we could pace the tour as we wanted, which ended up being faster than I've experienced in most cities. The tour guide probably wasn't the most knowledgable on... More

Leonardo was a fantastic guide during our 6 hr, 30 km journey back in time down the Appian Way. Along the way we visited the Catacombs of San Callisto and Aqueduct Park, had an incredible picnic lunch with meats and cheeses purchased at a local farmers market, and cycled back to Rome through a beautiful park that was reminiscent of... We have booked the 4 hours tour via the website of The Red bicycle Touring, friendly feed back and easy to book. The guide explained in a very comprehensive way the different time periods of Rome and gave us in an easy understandable way information of the huge amount of buildings an sites we have visited. In half a day... More

My kids and I had a wonderful time with our guide, Leonardo (I think that was his name), and really enjoyed getting a little way out of the city. We saw the catacombs, and rode the Appian Way, learning a lot of history and getting a bit of exercise in the process. Leonardo then took us to a great market,... More

My husband and I took this bike tour summer 2015. The guide was very accommodating because I needed to stop and rest at times. The hilly trail he took us on was worth the experience. Our guide knew much history that he shared with us about the area and that added much to the experience. I would totally recommend this... More

Great trip along the old roman road to the viaduct park. Very laid back and nice way to see a different (almost rural) part of Rome

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
