We did a 5 hour market tour and cooking class in Rome with Chef Monica and her Assistant Laura. It was the highlight of our trip! We got extremely lucky and were the only two in the class due to the slower season which made it extra special. We toured the beautiful market and a few local shops for supplies. All of which Monica had delicious details about their history in Rome to tell us. We made fond connections with both ladies in the only way to in Rome.....over food and wine! I'll take a class of Fabio's anytime I'm in Italy.

What an amazing experience this was. Elisa (a trained chef and former restaurateur) and Roy were absolutely fabulous. They were extremely personable and made you feel totally comfortable right away and were also a TON of fun. It felt like were cooking at our friends house. The cooking class is located in a picturesque medieval town about 40 minutes outside Rome city center (private transportation round-trip was of course included). You start the day shopping around the local markets in town, handpicking the ingredients for your dinner, while they explain the seasonality and traditions of Italian cooking and the recipes you will be preparing for the day. The house was magical - beautifully renovated with an incredible view. Really a beautiful location and unique experience overall. The recipes were equally unique: three pastas (traditional and seasonal), an entree, dessert and plenty of wine and water. Everything was DELICIOUS. The amount and quality of the food and the experience in general was more than worth the value. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience, not to mention one of the most memorable days I've had in Rome. I can't recommend this enough to anyone visiting!

This is the second time I took this class, I enjoyed it the first time with Fabio himself years ago, but this time his assistant gave the class and they were great, got picked up across from regis hotel and drove to the sweet little town of Mazzano, shopped for fresh ingredients, and learned some things, about tomatoes, broccoli, and artichokes. Class was such fun , drank some wine, and met some people, there were 5 of us a honeymoon couple, 2 friends, and me , so class is small . After we sat down to eat what we cooked and it was sooo much, you wont eat the rest of the day. This was a great day ! And great way to see and learn about Rome and some great recipes to take home and impress your friends and family. We made pizza, ravioli stuffed with artichoke and cheese with butter sauce , we made pasta and broccoli sauce, chicken dish, gnocchi , teramisu , a cant remember them all, The recipes will be emailed to you , and you can buy his book for 20 euros which I suggest you do, so bring 20e with you . I got one and so glad I did , I love it!!! We got to keep our apron and certificate too!!!!
