What an AMAZING experience! My mom and I signed up for the 5 hour cooking class. Fabio, the chef and owner, picked us up at a specified location and then drove us to his country house outside of Rome ( about 30 minutes), he mentioned 3 different locations of the classes.

Once in the small town, he took us to 3 markets to get the ingredients. He was very personable, telling us things about the city as we drove and asked us what foods we liked and disliked and if we had any allergies. Once we got the ingredients we went to his home and started preparing the meal. We made 3 different pasta dishes, veal saltimbucca, and a light fruit dessert. We made everything by scratch and he would talk about what we were doing and why we were doing it a certain way. Then he served us wine and each dish we made one after another at his dining room table. The food was out of this world and it truly was an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend using Fabio for a cooking class.

If you're looking for a cooking class that's truly unique, this one is the real deal. What an incredible experience this was! I attended the Fabiolous Cooking Day Market & Cooking Class last week and it was one of the best times I've had doing anything of the sort. I've done my share of cooking classes but this one was really special. We went to the market where the Chef knew the vendors well, as in a regular shopper there. This was the first point of contact that made all the difference. I really felt like a local. Our Chef (more like a guide) told us some tidbits of history as we traveled through some side roads and hidden shops and then a secret, hidden location which would be our cooking site.
We had a good group - small but with great people who got along quickly but it was the Chef (and Roy!) that really set the tone for the afternoon. They both were extremely professional yet so personable and fun, taking the time to make sure we all had a task and were doing it (even me being the weakest link). And all while making us laugh. I learned a ton about Rome, Roman cuisine, and cooking in general. And what we ended up cooking was a feast. I couldn't believe how I could have contributed to something that delicious! The dishes we made were better than restaurant quality and plated as such. Also worth noting everything we ate was local and in season. Such a fun, entertaining and memorable experience with great food, wine and people. And the space we were dining in made it that much more special. I don't want to spoil it too much with more details but if you're into cooking (or just food) and looking for an authentic and unique experience in Rome, this is it. Thank you again Fabio...you are fantastic!

This was an unexpected bonus to a wonderful visit to Rome. Vittoria (who was also FABIOLOUS) took us to an open market to buy the ingredients for our meal and then guided us through the preparation of a lovely 5-course lunch. We learned so much about Italian cuisine and culinary traditions. We won’t take an Italian meal for granted ever again.

This is the second time I took this class, I enjoyed it the first time with Fabio himself years ago, but this time his assistant gave the class and they were great, got picked up across from regis hotel and drove to the sweet little town of Mazzano, shopped for fresh ingredients, and learned some things, about tomatoes, broccoli, and artichokes. Class was such fun , drank some wine, and met some people, there were 5 of us a honeymoon couple, 2 friends, and me , so class is small . After we sat down to eat what we cooked and it was sooo much, you wont eat the rest of the day. This was a great day ! And great way to see and learn about Rome and some great recipes to take home and impress your friends and family. We made pizza, ravioli stuffed with artichoke and cheese with butter sauce , we made pasta and broccoli sauce, chicken dish, gnocchi , teramisu , a cant remember them all, The recipes will be emailed to you , and you can buy his book for 20 euros which I suggest you do, so bring 20e with you . I got one and so glad I did , I love it!!! We got to keep our apron and certificate too!!!!

As lovers of Italian food we decided to follow two different cooking classes with Fabio's cooking school. Both were excellent! Fabio is really living his passion and his enthusiasm for good food is conveyed through his classes. He took us to the market to buy fresh ingredients and then we cooked the most amazing food. We learnt how to make pastas from scratch, how to prepare the sauces and fillings and enjoyed it in his really cool venue overlooking the river. We also followed his pizza class which was so much fun and gave us the confidence to make them at home. The best souvenir of Rome we could have wished for!

Our experience with Chef Monica was amazing. We had this cooking class as a family activity on our first day in Rome. We had 3 kids ages 9 to 16, and everyone had a blast. Chef Monica was so good with the kids they could actually make their own pizza with no interference from us. Making the Tiramisu was the cherry on top of our experience. The ambience of the place was nice, the Chef and her helper were very friendly and entertaining. This class was the highlight of our days in Rome. We look forward to doing it again on our next trip to Italy!

We did a group cooking class while on an Italy tour. Maite was our chef and instructor. She was absolutely amazing and wonderful to work with! She kept the group on task and engaged. I would recommend this activity for any group looking for a fun cooking experience.

Chef Fabio is a very knowledgable and engaging cook. My 24 year old son and I took Chef Fabio's class along with 3 others who signed up. We met in town and proceeded to walk to an outdoor market for ingredients. From there we walked to the Jewish Quarter to head to a deli for Kosher meat to be used in our cooking. It was then a short walk to Chef Fabio's kitchen. The space was set up with stations for each of us. His sous chef made sure we had what we needed throughout the experience. We made 5 dishes and then sat down to enjoy our creations. Chef Fabio was interested in learning bout his guest and genuinely wanted to make a personal connection. He gave us a tour of his entertainment space and his apartment. My ONLY complaint is that he did not follow up with emailing us the recipes.

My celebrated our 32nd Anniversary with our first trip to Rome and a private dinner here. The apartment is breathtaking and Fabio and Christopher made us feel like family. Christopher was an incredible chef and his food was divine. We ate, we danced, we fell in love all over again in this romantic setting. I do not have enough words of praise to adequately express what a tremendous jewel this experience is for Rome! I am beyond grateful for how welcoming and special they made us feel and for their hospitality.

Fabio is the man! My wife and I were on our honeymoon and scheduled a private cooking class. He gave us the "Italian local" experience that we wanted. He picked us up in his car and we drove to a local farmers market where we purchased all the ingredients for a delicious lunch.
We then went back to his great apartment and Fabio taught us how to prepare spaghetti with clams, and other homemade pastas including a ricotta and zucchini ravioli. The wine was great and the conversation was better! Fabio is truly a master of his craft and I would encourage anyone who likes to try new foods and wants to stay away from the "touristy" attractions to book an reservation with Fabio!
