We were picked up from our hotel and our chef for the day drove us 40 minutes to a medieval village of Mazzano Romano. What an amazing location for a cooking class. There was a small group of 5 and we managed to prepare and eat a multiple of pasta dishes and dessert. Also making ravioli, spagetti . This is... More

We went to Rome (from the UK) for a hen do and booked this activity in advance. The staff we liaised with via e-mail to book were extremely helpful, providing us with all the details we needed and payment confirmations without any delay. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by 2 Chefs, who were very welcoming and warm. I... More

Chef Paolo and sous chef Marco hosted my wife and I for a evening class set up for us by our tour operator, Story Land and Sea. As with all operations selected by Story, this was a top notch experience. We also had a private dinner on Chef Fabio's rooftop. If you enjoy cooking and want to learn techniques and... More

Our chef, Francesco was absolutely wonderful. He was interactive, fun and helped our group of 7 people prepare an appetizing 5 course meal. We stopped at the local market to pick up our ingredients and made our way to a private home to cook. The village and views were breath taking and the food came out wonderful. Would highly recommend... More

Our tour company, Dragonfly Tours, arranged a private cooking class for us. We met Chef Fabio & his assistant, Nicoletta at the outdoor market in Campo de' Fiori. We enjoyed shopping for all the vegetables, fruits, cheeses & meat for our class. We then went to Chef Fabio's home & spent the rest of the day cooking...everything was made from... More

This was a birthday present from my wife and what a wonderful present. We met Paolo at the restaurant before being taken to the market to get fresh produce. We went back to a wonderful studio on Tiber Island to learn about making Italian food including home made noodles and Gnocchi. We cooked, we had fun and drank lovely wine.... More

Chef Paolo is an excellent host and an even better chef. We learned to make a delicious meal with complex flavors, drank lovely wine and had a beautiful meal with our fellow classmates. If you like to cook, or even just to eat delicious Italian food, this is a great way to spend a morning in Rome.

I attended the cooking class with Vittoria and Nicoletta in the amazing apartment in the city. I really enjoyed this class, learning how to make different pasta and techniques. The walking food tour of Travestere was wonderful. Sarah, our guide, introduced us to local street foods and the best tiramisu ever. We ended with wine and pasta on a rooftop overlooking Rome. Staying in Trastevere

Neighborhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
