Lovely setting

this fountain does not have the scale of the Trevi but does have the setting, space around it and ambience that the Trevi lacks. Well worth the visit.

This Bernini fountain is absolutely wonderful - full of action and drama. As I stayed nearby i went to look at it many times and each time i discovered something new - weird and wonderful creatures, details in the figures. it is stunning!

We enjoyed visiting late afternoon, the crowds were very manageable, music playing, the air filled with excitement and then you stand in front of this magnificent structure, it is indeed a masterpiece. The more you look the more you see, don't rush take time, look carefully and find all the hidden creatures within the fountain, we missed so many on... More

This is a real work of art and on a scale that takes a while to for it all to sink in. Visit it late in the afternoon when the buskers are there performing in the Piazza Narvona for a special afternoon

Another beautiful piece of work by ancient roman. As much as the places to see we enjoyed the walk through the narrow roads in piazza Navona. Typical european feel.

The piazza where this fountain is located was very crowded but we could still get close to the fountain so it was not too bad. This is one of many beautiful fountains in Rome and worth a visit on your way to other sites.

There is a lot of detail to this fountain. It really is something to be seen. it's situated right in the middle of Piazza Navona which is also very nice and pricey. There are apartments above the restaurants and one server was mentioning that the monthly rent in this plaza is about 8000 euros per month.

As with all major monuments, you really have to pick your favorites and try to see them either with guides that allow private, after or before hour access, or just take the pain! This is a must see on your Roman Holiday but it is very crowded, especially in August. The most important thing is tondo the research before you... More

We visited this as part of our Angels and Demons Tour. It's worth just spending a little while looking at all the figures on the fountain and then people watch in the square!
