Here at Rome by Segway, we are passionate about Segways and travel. Easy, intuitive and fun to use, they are great for all ages and types of travellers. Riding a Segway is a great time in and of itself, but when you combine a Segway with a stunningly beautiful city like Rome - it's a perfect match. With a Segway you'll cover more ground then you ever could on foot. Even after three hours of sightseeing, your feet won't ache. When visitors arrive in Rome they are often overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things there are to see. It feels impossible to 'see it all' - but with our Segway tours, we come pretty close!

We are dedicated to ensuring every traveller that books a Segway tour with us has an enjoyable experience. We have a brand new, beautiful office located just around the block from the Colosseum. Our bathroom, water cooler, coffee machine, couches and free Wifi are at the disposition of our guests. All of our itineraries are personally crafted by our staff, and feature an exciting mix of the famous sights Rome is known for and favorite 'local' spots. We are proud to rank in the top tier of Rome Activities on Trip Advisor, with hundreds of five star reviews.

When we look to the future of travel, the environment is important to us. Rome by Segway is proud to use zero-emission Segways, which are completely electric and incredibly efficient. Not only are they a much greener choice than your usual bus tour, Segways allow you to get up close to the city you are experiencing instead of just driving by.

For all of these reasons and more, we are proud to offer the best Segway tours in town. We look forward to having you join us in Rome!

We had previously done a tour with Italy by Segway and enjoyed it. So on our return trip with our entire family we thought we would try it again. Even though there was a large group of English speakers we were grouped with French speakers. This meant that everything had to be explained twice. It seemed we spent an inordinate... More

This was a very fun and informative tour. From the people in the office to our tour guide, everyone was very friendly and spoke excellent English. They were also doing another tour at the same time in French. Our tour guide, Eddie, was very knowledgeable about Rome and its history. He was very patient and helpful in training first time... The Segway is an excellent way to cover lots of ground around Rome. Our tour guide showed us several key sights that would be impossible to see by foot in one day. I would highly recommend this tour as it is both fun and informative. The Segway in and of itself is a fun thing to ride. The staff at... More

All staff in office were very friendly, helpful & chatty. Segways were in excellent condition, very safe and easy to ride. Our guide Bruno was amazing, patient & very knowledgeable of the local area. Took us to less known areas of Rome that were less crowded as well as popular sites. Many short stops to take in the view and... More

We absolutely loved this tour with Flavio. Great way to climb the 7 hills of Rome. This trip is not only educational but is such good fun and you get the chance to learn a new skill. By the end of the tour you'll be gliding through the crowds of curious tourists like a pro.

We booked this for our first day in Rome and it was a great way to get our bearings around the city. Our guide was Bruno; he couldn't have been more friendly and was super knowledgeable when we asked questions about the city. In addition to his mad history skills, Bruno also gave us some great advice for places to... More

Our Tour guides were Gabriel and Flavio. The evening tour we booked was delayed by rain which was obviously out of their control. It would have been totally understandable if they decided to cancel but these guys waited as long as possible to ensure we could have our Tour. From the moment we arrived they had such wonderful attitudes and... More

We toured with Gabriel for the Ancient Rome Segway tour. The segways are very easy to operate, and Gabriel was very attentive to his tour attendees. This is a great way to learn the history of ancient Rome, and to learn your way around! We even "pulled over" under a large tree during a massive thunderstorm right next to Circus... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
