Irene was our guide for this amazing tour. She is extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and very sweet. She was ready with a slide show on her iPad to explain and show certain things before we went inside, and she then tailored the tour and presentation for us since we are Jewish and we very much appreciated that. This is a very... More

This is the only way to go - a private tour. The lines were incredible even in October and we were able to bypass most of that as we had booked a tour before our trip. Our guide - Francesco (excuse any misspellings) - was most knowledgeable and informative. My husband and I learned a great deal. I would highly... More

Having the ability to view the Sistine Chapel before the crowds alone is worth the early morning semi-private tour. What makes it even more worthwhile is to have a guide like Linda, she is an amazingly knowledgable guide with a great sense of humor. She made the tour interesting by sharing insights and context to historical facts and references. We... More

I'd worked with Walks Inside Rome before and had the experience of a lifetime, so when my wife and I were planning a week in the Piedmont region of Italy I reached out. Marilena got us in touch with a local travel guide in Piedmont and what resulted was the best week of food, wine, chocolates, and cooking class that... More

We were part of an eight-person tour on a very crowded day, so we appreciated the early entry into the Sistine Chapel and some of the galleries before the masses of people arrived. Our guide, Nina, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and bold enough to manage the crowds. It was money well spent and I would recommend it to others.

I booked Walks Inside Rome's Vespa tour on impulse. They responded quickly via phone and email. (It's good to have an Italian sim with you!) I paid online and everything went smoothly. I booked a 2 PM tour and my guide, Ricardo, was prompt. It's my first time to ever ride a motorcycle and Ricardo assured me of my safety.... More

Prior to arriving in Rome, my wife and I listened to the advice of family and friends and also conducted our own research about the best way to tour the Vatican. We concluded that a small tour group would suit us and an early morning one at that. Walks Inside Rome had received some positive reviews, so we made a... More

We just returned from a 2 1/2 week trip to Italy, with the last stop in Rome. While there, we had three tours through Walks Inside Rome, all of which were outstanding. Toni was our guide at the Vatican on a small group tour. It was incredibly crowded, but she did a great job despite the hindrance of the crowds,... More

whether or not you are Jewish, this tour is a must, but especially if you are Jewish. Our guide, Marco, was unbelievable. This area of Rome is a very small section, about four blocks, with a history that is so much a part of Ancient Rome, you will be shocked. If you don't take the tour, go visit the area... More

We had Barbara as our small group (7 people) tour guide for the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel and we couldn't have been more pleased! We took the early morning tour (would recommend that) and we're ahead of most of crowds. She gave us historical information dotted with humorous stories about many of the paintings, mosaics, artifacts that made the... More
